Stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. Just visiting Ithaca for a short weekend and read about the Ithaca Bakery. We had 2 vegetarian sandwiches which were just ok. Perhaps it was our menu choice, however, many restaurants make great vegetarian sandwiches. Left feeling somewhat disappointed. Service was pleasant as was the atmosphere.

Great food, great atmosphere....if you've been to Philadelphia Reading Market, think mini version. Open seating, order and take a number to display on your table or counter for delivery. Great selection of deli sandwiches, full cafe options (awesome raspberry truffle latte) and did we mention the bakery? (The giant oatmeal raisin cookies are to die for). If you visit Ithaca... More

Great food with lots of prepared food to go to make at home. Excellent soups and inventive sandwiches. Best bagles and bialys in town... as a matter of fact, the only "real" bagles and the only bialys in town. Don't know what a bialy is? It's a cross between a bagle and an english muffin. Try one (has to be... More

My husband and I ate at this place twice while in the area in June 2014. (Since moving to Ithaca, we've been back, but primarily at their CTB locations.) They do a great job of their sandwiches. The food is great quality. The sandwiches are really just great vehicles to try out their various breads, and we've loved every one... More

We went for take-out breakfast and ended up buying breakfast and lunch (to go). The menu is fantastic and all the food was good quality. We gave them a complex order (gluten free, substitutions, a mix of breakfast and lunch items), and they nailed it. Not one mistake, not one thing sub par. Thanks also goes to our exceptional cash... Ithaca Bakery (IB to locals) has several locations, including CTB (College Town Bagel). The triphammer location is a favorite for my breakfast meetings for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. When I'm avoiding grains, I stop at the downtown location for their hot/cold bar - I can always get some quick fresh and locat products -eggs, quiche and sausage in the... More

Decided to try a breakfast place in town, and this jumped out based on the TA reviews. Definitely not close enough to walk from the two major college campuses. We were pleasantly surprised at the breakfast selection and speed in which our orders were prepared. Our breakfasts tasted decent with fresh ingredients. Moderate prices, cheerful service, and friendly crowd. The... More

If you can spare a couple of hours.... and a lot of change..... this is a good place for sandwiches, soup, and/or prepared foods that you can take to go. It's a great place for Ithacans because there are vegan, gluten free, and vegetarian choices to go with carnivorous fare. Bakery items are usually tasty, but if you're a downstater,... More

while visiting friend in town, I went here for lunch. Hard to make up my mind with such a large array of choices. My sandwich was very good, with fresh & delicious whole-grain bread. don't know if I'll ever be back to Ithaca, but this bakery makes me wish I lived there--I could spend a year working my way thru...
