The Heights Restaurant and H Bar was established in 1995 by Culinary Institute of America graduate James Larounis and his wife Heidi. We are located in the Village of Cayuga Heights, one mile from the center of Cornell University. The restaurant has a casual, contemporary atmosphere and features Mediterranean-inspired American cuisine. We place the utmost value on our seasonal menus and on sourcing locally. We also take great pride in our wine list which includes over 400 bottle selections from the United States and international regions, and over 20 wines by the glass. The Heights Restaurant and H Bar has been a Wine Spectator award winner since 1999.

A definite must!!!!!

Small restaurant with wonderfully prepared food served elegantly; although the prices match the level served, we found it worth every penny. The service was excellent. We plan to go back every time

This lovely restaurant at Community Corners, near the Cornell campus, is a perfect place for lunch. Two of us had the salad special, chicken over greens with tomato, mozzarella, and red onion with a deliciously tangy orange vinaigrette. When we asked for bread, we were brought hot salted pita bread: a real taste treat.

I went here based on a Yelp review and its proximity to my hotel. The only bad thing I will say about it is that it's a little pricey, but the quality of the drinks, food, and service were well worth the indulgence. The cocktail was made to my exacting specifications, the food was delicious and well presented (even though... More

This is a beautiful location, great service, and the food is probably the best in Ithaca with nothing a close second. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. The people that they hire are well trained and professional. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy The Heights!

The Heights was a regular stop for us when we visited our son while he was in Cornell (just down the road from North campus--you can even walk). I have never had a bad meal. I was a bit concerned about recent reviews and the fact that they changed their name but I needn't have worried. Three of us visited... More

My wife and I are Cornell grads from California and visiting Ithaca. The Heights Café got good reviews and we ate there last night. The shrimp appetizer was just okay. The house salad was nothing special. The menu seemed inventive and we ordered the Argentine pork shoulder which came on a bed of mussels and shrimp. It was very strange... More

I've been to the heights several times -- and overall I think the food is a little overpriced and prefer to go for lunch (better prices, same-ish food) But, I went there last week to celebrate my husband's birthday on a Thursday night (ie. not too busy) and our service was terrible. There was a point where we waited, we... More

The quality of food is not what it used to be at the Heights. My last three visits have been consistent and sadly, disappointing. This change seems to have occurred around the same time that they expanded the bar section of the restaurant. I ordered the shrimp tacos. Between the 2 tacos, there were 3 total shrimp. I expected some... More
