The Heights Restaurant and H Bar was established in 1995 by Culinary Institute of America graduate James Larounis and his wife Heidi. We are located in the Village of Cayuga Heights, one mile from the center of Cornell University. The restaurant has a casual, contemporary atmosphere and features Mediterranean-inspired American cuisine. We place the utmost value on our seasonal menus and on sourcing locally. We also take great pride in our wine list which includes over 400 bottle selections from the United States and international regions, and over 20 wines by the glass. The Heights Restaurant and H Bar has been a Wine Spectator award winner since 1999.

As always we had a perfect meal last night. Oyster app was fantastic, bone in filet was perfectly seasoned, prepared and absolutely delicious! With a fantastic and plentiful wine selection to go with the meal, I can easily say one of the best meals I've every had. Going back for Valentine's Day! Thank you James and Staff!

Ladera wine dinner event at the Heights was a deep disappointment. Yucky appetizer (deep fried pork with red cabbage), grisly beef course and supermarket quality dessert. Not their usual performance but their most recent for me!

The service is impeccable, the setting is lovely and the memory of the food will stay with you forever...The attention to detail begins as you walk through the door and is maintained as each course is brought to the table...elegantly created, presented and enjoyed!

We were a group of GMs from Cornell and had a wonderful time at this place. The food was great and ambiance very nice. Would recommend this restaurant to all visitors to Ithaca.

So let's get the basics out of the way - quality products, high prices, decent service, huge portions, decent taste and flavors. They get a solid 4 stars. So, what exactly is my issue anyways? Well, here is my take on this place. They do everything fine but that is exactly the problem - everything is fine and nothing is... More

This is clearly the best in Ithaca. And most likely you will meet the chef and owner. It has everything you want from a good restaurant, great food, great wine list and not over the top prices, and nice atmosphere. And he has mnay fun types of vodka, etc. Enjoy a wonderful meal.

Simply stated, a restaurant that maintains a high level of consistency of quality and service remains a favorite. Those who travel to Ithaca for Cornell University visits should always take in the fine fare at this local establishment.

We had early dinner on a Thursday night. The restaurant was not crowded when we started but pretty much filled up by the time we finished. Pace of the meal was good for this level of restaurant. Some may find it a bit slow. We were greeted pleasantly at the door and immediately shown our table. We had the beef... More

I can't really rate the restaurant itself as I got this food to go. But the sandwich I got was the fire-roasted sandwich and it was amazing. I was ready to go back the next day for it. Excellently prepared. Everything was perfect about it. Would love to stop in and eat there one day but for now I'll just... More
