Good quality and hearty food, with great service and a nice atmosphere. A great choice for dinner in Ithaca.

We've gone by Maxie's many times and finally stopped for dinner last Friday. While there was a quieter side we opted to eat on the noisy bar side. Barely room to walk through but the two of us were lucky enough to get a tall table right away. Many in the bar were waiting for tables on the restaurant side... More

A local recommended this place and we weren't disappointed. Great southern style home cooking, generous portions, but not too big to finish, great cooking, live music on some nights and fab service. Only negative would be that it's so dark it was difficult to read the menu. Having said that we enjoyed the food so much we did go twice!

This is a casual restaurant whose approach to food and service have been consistently excellent. Their seafood is particularly good and often prepared in innovative ways as daily specials. The wine list offers Finger Lakes, US and international choices and is reasonably priced. The service is very speedy, but you are not rushed. All in all, a fine choice for... More

We were a bit nervous about the way we were dressed, but it was fine. This seafood restaurant was quite crowded, and a very tight squeeze, but the food and the service were worth it. One of the best crab cakes I've ever eaten, and delicious cornbread!

we were driving looking for a place for dinner - wow - we struck gold! They had a bar area - a dining area and an outdoor patio. The food was great - we had the oysters as an appetizer and then we split the salmon and jambulya - both were excellent. Staff bent over backwards to ensure a lovely... More

Oysters, po'boys, hurricanes, gumbo and jambalaya are just some of the offerings on the menu. Service was attentive. There was a rather lengthy pause between our appetizers and our entrées. The gumbo received rave reviews from one member of our party. Another member enjoyed the ribs. Very casual place that seemed to be popular with many of the college students... More

I used to live in Ithaca, and once in a while would eat here, because it is on the pricey side. My husband and I visited Ithaca this weekend and ate here and MAN was it good! Yes, the bill was nearly $100, but it was worth it! We got 18 of the half priced oysters (4-6pm), the hubby had... More

This place made out whole trip to Ithaca!!! We loved everything about it. Upon our arrival the Hostesses were extremely friendly and brought us right to a seat outside, we were watered immediately and our server (Jonathan) was over in no time. Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the food which was helpful as I didn't know what some of... More

Nice restaurant with a lively vibe and good for families. To start we got the Supper Club Salad to share and it was delicious. It was dressed nicely and a perfect way to begin our meal. For entrees, my husband had a po'boy and I had a half portion of the shrimp and grits. He enjoyed his, though he felt... More
