We had our first dinner in Ithaca here -- and we loved it! We sat at the bar and had some good cocktails, oysters, and an excellent meal. Would love to go back if we are ever in Ithaca again. more

We dined at Maxie's a few nights ago, and it was amazing! Best food in Ithaca! We had crab cakes, some barbecued shrimps and a couple of burgers, and everything was delicious. It was also inexpensive. more

We went to dinner our first night in the Finger Lakes and we were starving. We were immediately seated without reservations and our order was promptly taken. Further, the food was prepared quickly. I've been to Maxie's twice, and have enjoyed it both times. I tried the fish fry on the first visit- it was soooo good. I tried the gumbo on the second visit- also very good. Their prices are a little steep, but their food is really good... which makes going there a treat whenever my fiance and I can afford... more

Maxie's is fantabulous. The food is terrific, the drinks rock, and the service is friendly and fast. There raw bar is half off from 4-6pm. on Sundays, they have live local bands. more
