Local pub with local smiles

The bartender and staff always give me a smile. So I keep coming back. The bar is great, the scene is local. Food is respectable burger and pub fare. I've never had a bad experience here. Check 'em out if you're driving up highway 89.

Found a review in our AAA guidebook so decided to try. Cozy atmosphere. Husband had fish fry that had 2 large pieces of fish and two sides. I had crab cake sandwich with remoulade sauce and cole slaw. Food very tasty. Husband had $5 bloody Mary, which was large and very good according to him. Had view of Lake Cayuga... More

Arrives after 8 pm and was promptly seated. Excellent waitress. Food was served fast. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Definitely a nice place to enjoy a meal.

Although the place was packed, we got a table immediately and our delicious food was served right away. And it's true, they do make the best hamburger in the Finger Lakes!

We stopped here on the way back from toughannock falls got lunch but literally took about three steps in and turned around and walked out again. Thus place stank like five day old fish on the sun. There is no way known I would have eaten here. Ewwwwwwww

So calling this the "best burger in Ithaca" is a joke. It's not a bad burger at all but it isn't the best in Ithaca. Top 10 is more likely. Service - very friendly. Prices - affordable, diner like. Taste - average. Interior - dingy and kinda dirty. Value - good. We had the burger and fish fry as we... More

The place is known for its "Pines Burger"-The problem is that you may be there on a Friday and it is truly a great burger, so good in fact, that you make a return trip on Sunday only to be greatly disappointed! I don't know if they change cooks but it is always different. Not as good as the first... More

I'm from Canada, my Fiancé is however from King Ferry NY. Everytime I come down I always demand to go to Glenwood Pines. Every time we've been there (about 6 times now) The Service is amazing, and the food is to die for. I've never had one bad meal there, and the atmosphere of this cute pub makes you feel... More

You've got to have a Pinesburger - freshly ground meat with local bread, cooked to order. Fries are also delicious. Desserts awesome - we had a warm chocolate cookie maple pecan pie, carrot cake. All came well described with helpful, attentive and super fast service. Great value. We were so impressed with one of the local Chardonnays that we took... More

I've been there with a friend, and for some reason the staff was quiet impolite and unhelpful (maybe two men dining together is unusual by their standard?). The pineburgers didn't have the wow effect at all, nothing what you cannot find anywhere. Not going back for sure.
