Nothing fancy about the Pines, but decent food, consistently prepared at a decent price. Good burgers and apps, decent drinks. Not going to make the Michelin Guide, but decent food in a decent place.

Glenwood Pines is a basic, Ithaca staple. The food is diner-like and the service is fast. The décor is basic and you can expect a meal where you won't complain. There is upstairs and down-the-stairs dining. Nothing fancy, but nothing to complain about either. This is an easy, relaxed setting for a good meal and perhaps some laughter and good... More

I have been eating at the Glenwood Pines for over 25 years! It has been good every single time. I can always depend on good food at a reasonable price.

The Pinesburger is iconic as is the find and seek on the menu and Bloody Mary. The burger was just as good as I remember with the thousand island dressing and large fresh french bread roll- the french fries are not hand-cut or anything special so they are the only downside. Great chili! The decor is simple and hasn't changed;... More

I drive to Ithaca just to eat at the Pines. The Pinesburgur is simply amazing. Always cooked perfectly. The staff is friendly and fun. The view overlooking Cayuga lake is stunning. Nothing fancy, but definitely a place to stop.

For a burger and a beer, the Pines can't be beat. The bacon cheese-burger on french bread, cooked to order, was the best I've ever had. The view over Cayuga Lake is remarkable. Always busy but the service is efficient and tables open up quickly.

Cozy place, nice folks, full bar. My son had the burger and fries. I had a salad and a bowl of chili. Nice lunch.

Let me add to the kudos for this local place…the burger was delicious…beautifully charred and served on French bread from Ithaca Bakery, another standout Ithaca spot. They have a challenge…eat 4 of their special pines burgers in an hour and win a t-shirt…burgers are 6 ounces , doesn't seem like ti would be too hard to do. After you've eaten... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience of an authentic American burger joint. Food was all we hoped it would be, and service friendly (albeit a little chaotic!).

This is a really nice local restaurant and bar on the wine trail north of Ithica, done in a very simple style with good food and good service. The style is akin to a hunting cabin, and you are more likely to see locals in baseball caps than the effete, tipsy, and somewhat tiresome wine trail tourists that predominate the... More
