Good American Grill

We came with a large party for a business meal. The service was attentive and well-organized -- a good job when there are twenty people to serve. Everybody rated their food as very good. This is not "fine dining." Rather this is a nicely-decorated place that is indeed in a boatyard at the end... read more

We were a little cautious when we saw that the overall score was 3.8 out of 5 but everything was cooked to perfection and the service was friendly and efficient.

Bar service extremely slow. People in our party wares over 30 min to be served at the bar. They definitely need more bar staff. And by the way, 10.00 for a glass of cheap wine is a little too much for my taste. We ended up going elsewhere for dinner.

Our waiter, Shawn, was a great waiter, as my wife is on a restricted diet, he was extremely helpful with her order and she loved it. I had an excellent seafood fra diavlo with shrimp and a small lobster tail in a spicy sauce over linguini, it was very good. Great atmosphere as well. We'll be heading back soon.

The Boatyard is my favorite place in all of Ithaca to go. The burgers are by far the best I've had in all of Ithaca and are grilled over wood fire! My friend had the salmon dish and was in love. This is a place you can have great drinks, amazing food and be served by kind and caring staff!... More

Went for dinner on a Saturday evening - even though it was busy we didn't have to wait at all to sit at a hi-top table outside. We were right next to the water and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather. It wasn't a great view of the lake but we still enjoyed it. Food was delicious although service... More

We were able to gets a seat by the window and had a great view of the water. Our waitress was very efficient. Food was good but not great.

It is a pleasant restaurant with cheerful staff. The opportunity to dine out near the inlet is another plus. There are far more inspiring views further up the lake, but probably no room for a fairly large restaurant along the lake. I would feel more definitive in giving a review if I had a few more dining experiences here, but... More

We came here to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Cornell. They had a big party going on outside but we managed to get a table. We had called ahead to reserve a spot but no reservations. Even though they were busy, the front desk/servers were very friendly. We couldn't get a table with a water view but we didn't mind... More
