Growing up, ages ago, this was our go-to place for special occasions. These days Ithaca has a lot more to offer and it feels like the Antlers hasn't really moved with the times. The dinner salad was tiny, the Steak Diane was good but not great. My wife felt the same way about her Filet. The food was fine, in... More

This past weekend I was able to dine at The Antlers restaurant to conduct my review of the overall experience. With the information I have gathered, I can write a successful and effective evaluation. This memo will outline my experiences based on the following criteria: • Outside of the Restaurant • Service • Food • Ambiance Food- I ate the... More

Had a very nice meal (Baked Scrod, Santa Barbara Salad with Gorgonzola and candied pecans as well as the day's appetizer special of flatbread with mozzarella, diced tomatoes with a balsamic glaze) that was tasty and an ideal portion enhanced by fresh corn and a baked potato. The wait staff is professional although we did wait a bit before we... More

We stopped by on a weeknight and the place was packed and for good reason. The meals are pricier than you'd expect, and excellent--steaks and seafood. They have a good beer and wine selection as well. The wait staff was very attentive and charming.

Garlic bread as the free bread and it came out right out of the oven. How many restaurants do this anymore? It was great, I could have eaten a whole basket all by myself. The crabcakes was excellent, just the right consistency without being too dry or too mushy. I ordered the steak dianne and although it wasn't as large... More

The Antlers was right down the road from where I was staying and the reviews were mostly good. I like a salad with my meal which was not part of the order so, I ordered a house salad. As described in a earlier review, the salad was on a 3x3 round plate and was $4.95. A little heavy for that... More

Cool place. old, and rustic. Best Western front desk recommended. Our food was very good and hot. Garlic bread is brought to table, very delicious.

When we want a consistently good meal we return to the Antlers of Ithaca, NY. It rarely disappoints in any facet of the dining experience. It has a warm atmosphere along w/ a very friendly staff. The only snafu on our most recent trip was the waitress forgot to take of dessert order (not that we needed it). She gave... More

For our last night in the Ithaca area, we felt at a loss at dinner time. Our hotel desk proffered a list of choices, but as paid advertising goes, who really takes this seriously? I double-checked the offerings on TripAdvisor and found, to my chagrin, that most of the restaurants reviewed often were Chinese or Japanese, or chains of the... More

We ate here twice and enjoyed it both times. The food was great and they have specials each night of the week. We had good service and piano player one night. Its a popular place so reservations are recommended.
