Great food, a little pricey

My wife and I ate here with my son and his girlfriend. They enjoy the place and wanted us to try it out. The food and wait staff were excellent. I had the Toreador steak and it was perfect. We had appetizers and sodas. I found the bill a bit pricey but overall a very good experience.

The food was excellently prepared and extremely tasty!! The fried chick peas with the beer flight is a great idea as a palate cleanser! I had an Agave Mojito, and it was refreshing and delicious. Have zero complaints and we will be going back frequently!

A business associate and I stopped for lunch on Friday, and were delighted with the choices, both or food and beverages. The food was delicious and very pleasantly presented, and our server was friendly and attentive. Thank you, Vanessa !

Great restaurant and options. Loved the many house made dressings and sauces. We both had blackened grass fed burgers and enjoyed them. The wine selection was good with many local options. Would definitely go back.

Agava is consistently good. This is to be expected, as it is an enterprise of the premiere food family in Ithaca, the Brouses, of Ithaca Bakery and Collegetown Bagels fame. I have the best time there when I go with a group of co-workers or friends. The atmosphere is fresh and bustling, although it can definitely be noisy, which is... More

We spent the morning at the Ithaca Farmers Market which is a must if you go to Ithaca. I got carried away taking pictures of the colorful kale. We then went for a walk in the botanical gardens. You do not have to pay for parking if you go on a weekend and then we rounded off our morning with... More

Let's start from the worse. . My partner ordered scallops and ceviche. The ceviche designated in the menu as Agava Style, was 'like a cold fish soup'. The scallops gave the ranking - they were full of sand. And this is a basic food prep failure. The rest were actually pretty good. Appetizers were interesting and imaginative. The burgers were... I was SO happy to find this restaurant for lunch on our road trip. I tend to eat a plant-based diet and struggle to find really creative fare amongst the Standard American Diet offerings. I had a simple house salad (bigger than most with excellent greens) and the most amazing, fall-off-your-chair tacos filled with fried Brussel sprouts, toasted almonds, burnt... More

We had a wonderful time here. With a wait for a table we went to the bar area, which had a good selection of local and craft beers, wine and mixed concoctions. . The bar area is youthful and active. It was kinda of get you own from the bar which was OK with me as it gave me a... More

Agava is conveniently located just two miles from my house which makes it a favorite for week nights when cooking at home isn't an option. I am a very picky eater and have to say I tend to stay away from spicy food...by that I mean any food with even a hint of "heat." One would then question my choosing... More
