I was on a business trip to Cornell with some co-workers. We decided to check out Mia Restaurant in the Ithaca Commons. We were very impressed. I ordered roasted duck and it was awesome! Co-workers had similar feedback about dishes they ordered too. We were so happy that we picked the right restaurant for the dinner. Great atmosphere, quiet location... More

We were walking through downtown Ithaca looking for a place to eat (with all the construction going on) and chanced upon Mia's. Even though we did not have a reservation, the owner was kind enough to accommodate us upstairs. We were expecting a traditional Spanish Tapas, but were very pleasantly surprised by the menu and the variety... Loved the food,... More

We love Mia's. In addition to excellent and reasonably priced entrees, there's an extensive tapas menu that offers many choices for meat lovers, vegetarians, fans of various Asian and other cuisines. Our particular favorites include the Tandoori style lobster tail and smoked tofu bun and among the entrees, the Indian ratatouille and the wild mushroom dish. Favorite desserts include the... More

In the heart of this nice little town, you'll find good tapas. It is asian influences but still, a lot of efforts have been put on different axis: stunning presentation, mix of flavors and prices reallu affordable. A must go if you pass by Ithaca.

We came to Mia's for a late dinner and wished we were hungrier. The restaurant interior is lovely, Sophisticated and understated. Even though we were the last customers for the night, our server was patient, attentive, and never hurried us. The pan-Asian cuisine was excellent, and vegetarian -friendly as well. The samosas were excellent, and the Indian chicken outstanding.

Years of travel to Ithaca had never taken us to Mia until our recent Saturday night visit. Wow! We are glad to have finally discovered it. Loved the Asian tapas concept. So many choices. This is not just "traditional Asian" as it had many Indian influences as well. The food was excellent and the service even better. Will definitely go... More

We got many recommendations from locals, but this restaurant by far was the best that we visited practically every week for either drinks, appetizers, and/or full dinner. It is a fusion restaurant with an array of Asian inspired dishes. Definitely a must - Banh Mi appetizer, Roast duck and lamb chop entrees! You must also try their cocktails created by... More

An extensive menu of tapas as well as full-sized entrees. The fish is especially good. Interesting Asian-style take non recipes. Worth a visit if traveling in Ithaca.

Mia has the advantage over "Just a Taste" in that it serves full plates as well as Tapas plates. My wife preferred that, and so if your party wants a mix this is the place to go to. Some of the tables are a bit too close to the stairs and kitchen, so pick carefully. Would certainly go back again.... More

This is one of the go-to places in Ithaca for fine dining but I tried the tapas menu. for the first time and it did not disappoint. The owner is a local celebrity restaurateur and is known for his inventive approaches to restaurants and cuisines. Mia accomplishes admirably what few kitchens have ventured into -- combining ingredients and methods of... More
