Five Star Meal in a Casual Setting

What's most interesting about this place is that the combination of ingredients is nothing like you've ever seen before. We had a salad with apples, greens, apple bacon and a fried egg on top? Wow! That's different. At the table were pickled broccoli spears, another very unusual take on the usual. The chef is obviously very creative, and it's very... More

An absolute must for the "experience." Ask for seats along the open-kitchen counter...it's the equivalent of a "chef's table" dinner at many elite restaurants in the city for no additional cost! It's so much fun watching the cooks prepping 5 dishes at a time, bringing food to life.

I love the atmosphere of this comfortable and colorful little restaurant. I ordered the mussels which were delicious and plentiful. My husband ordered the hamburger and he proclaimed it the best he has ever had! You have to understand my husband's favorite meal is a hamburger so he has had hundreds every place we travel to. I had the special... More

The food is a terrific blend of comfort foods and craft cuisine with a local focus. The service was excellent; very friendly, engaging, attentive, and warm. However, the initial impression left something to be desired. We arrived as a party of three without a reservation for dinner at 5:30. Every table inside and outside was empty (except for one small... More

Fabulous meal at the bar next to the kitchen/grill. Enjoyed seeing the wonderful detailed attention of the chefs. Chipotle Mussels are a refined delicacy. Pomme Frites and pickled vegetables are among their specialties. Add a "fine line" of wine, and you have a spectacular dinner.

Tucked away, I only noticed this place a few months ago. I've gone twice since then, having the 'steak frites' and the bread pudding dessert both times. I'll definitely have the same thing next time too. It's really fun and interesting to sit at the counter and watch the cooks from just a few feet away.

This restaurant is located a little off the main street but seemed to be well known by the locals. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Appetizers at our table included crab fritters, vichyssoise, scallops and house smoked salmon. All were pronounced delicious. Entrees included 2 orders of rack of lamb which were devoured quickly, salmon and ahi tuna. The salmon... More

This little bistro tucked away on State Street is a terrific find. My wife and I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening and found a full house and after sampling the food it was easy to see why. The menu is varied and current without catering to trends or fashion. The food is well prepared and delicious , top... More
