This was our first visit to Ithaca and this was our first stop after a 5 hour drive. We were hungry and expectant. Our server Stephanie was friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. We both ordered burgers (their specialty). They were cooked perfectly as ordered. She got fries as a side and I chose a salad. The food was plentiful, served hot... More

Been years since I was in Ithaca. Not sure if its on the way up or way down. Or treading water. Ale House not on the top of the ratings list, but they had a good selection of beer and hockey on TV. Bar, table or booth seating. Drafts shown on a video screen - should have let menu run... More

After nearly 7 years of coming to Ithaca it's nice to find a place where everybody can find a choice and be very happy. Way more than a Burger joint BUT wow the burgers are awesome. The appetizers where surprisingly tasty, different and fresh. If you have a palate really different flavorful food as Crafted as the Beer they feature... More

As "adults" in the community, we were leary about going to what we thought was a "college" place. We were surprised that the atmosphere and decor was great, the food and service excellent, and have been back many times. It is NOT a noisy hangout. Try it and be surprised! Have them charcoal your burgers (you have to ask), and... More

After a very long drive to Ithaca, we ate dinner at the Ithaca Ale House. The burgers were delicious and cooked as requested, very juicy and flavorful. I had the special side of the night which was cajun tater tots instead of the standard french fries and they were delicious, My daughter ordered the french dip sandwich. It arrived gloriously... I've eaten here many times and the food is always top notch. It can be very crowded so go early or be prepared to wait for a table. Well worth it though!

Not sure what the draw is as we found them a bit unfriendly with a so-so draft beer selection. The food was average. The service was good. The hostess was a bit rude. I guess you have to be under 30.

Since Ruloff's closed, this is the go-to place for college students like myself to get their burger fix. They have a great selection of burgers and beers. With just about every entree on the menu, they also include what kind of beer they recommend getting with it (if you're 21!). Their cocktails are also really nice too. Even when Ruloff... More

Very popular with Ithaca college students. The ambience is very appealing the atmosphere buzzing and the service is friendly. The presentation of the food is very appealing. Taste of the 6 onion soup was average. The other burgers that were ordered were good for the youth but we adults felt it lacked a little flavor. The patty was a little... More
