Stopped in here for dinner one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Probably the best seafood chowder I've ever had. Also had a roast beef sandwich and a garden salad, both were terrific. Friendly, comfortable atmosphere and great service too. The hostess somehow recognized that I was Canadian and gave us some great ideas on places to visit in the area.... More

Met family last Friday and had a great meal and great time. The fish fry, he salad, grilled cheese and mac & cheese were really super! Nachos were good but not in the league of the other good. Wish we could have saved room for fried Oreos which I've been told her wonderful. Sat outside which was nice. Also had... More

Had a great experience, dining outside. Solid drinks, really good food, super service, and a perfect evening, people watching. Burgers are VERY good, salads very fresh. You really can't go wrong at the Ithaca Ale House!

We had our dog with us last evening so we sat outside and had a couple nice local beers. I had a TERRIFIC Ancho chicken salad. It was huge and packed with lots of veggies, avocados, chicken and a tasty dressing. My husband had wings with the Ale house special sauce and he liked it a lot. The server offered... More

Our party of four stopped at a restaurant in Ithaca we wanted to try but they were closed. After driving around for a while we came upon the restaurants in the area of Ithaca Ale House. Many of them had outdoor seating but the Ale House had many more patrons on a late Thursday afternoon. We sat inside at the... More

I've been to the Ale House a few times. The food is ok (depends on what you order), beer is good, kiddie cups for kids drinks are great. Of all of the food we've had, I think I've liked the 6 Onion soup the best. The onion ring on top is a nice touch. Once on a warm summer day,... More

I went to the Ithaca Ale House a couple times, for beers and burgers. Beer selection isn't very impressive for a ale house, but the burgers are good. Great size menu, lots of choices. Service is also good, friendly. It's a very casual restaurant, perfect for a guys night out. Maybe not a date night.

I was disappointed that they didn't have a larger selection of local beers. The big sexy burger was ok.

The food was very good. Nice selection on the menu. From the quac blt to the beef and bleu, even the ancho chicken salad, everyone was satisfied at our table. Great beer selection. Place is crowded, especially when a big sporting event is on tv. Only complaint, the broth in the 6 onion soup was very bland. The onion ring... More

Good, varied, beer selection both on tap and in bottles. Small place in the happening part of town. Food was good, service also good. Looking for beer and burgers, great spot
