We had been to this restaurant for breakfast the year before and it was very good, so we thought we would try it for dinner. Bad thought. They had a prime rib dinner special that my husband opted for and I ordered the fried shrimp dinner. My husbands was edible and he gave it between 3 1/2 to 4 stars... More

I still think the Hard Times is cute and has some decent prices, but the service seems to have gone downhill in the past 2 years. There's a much longer wait for the food (when empty), the waitresses aren't as good as they used to be, and they removed the main reason we'd go, which was a delicious bowl of... More

We stopped for dinner on our way thru town. The table was dirty and we waited so long for a drink that we switched to the bar but there was no bartender. The table was dirty and there was broken glass on the bar. Food was awful too. We were told it was off season so they were short handed.... More

Conveniently located. We had a very good breakfast, and a very nice waitress. We tried to stop in again before we headed home but they are closed on Thursdays. Looks like they offer a nice salad bar later in the day. Recommend.

We schedule our annual family reunion in the Adirondacks. A group of 6 visit the Cafe ezch year. We had both breakfast and lunch this year, on different days. The food is always good, the value is excellent and we have always experienced good service. We'll be back next year.

I've been stopping in at this restaurant ever since I went to college in the Utica area and began driving through the Adirondacks to get there-- I never thought to rate it but once I used TripAdvisor on my travels I thought I would! This is hand's down, the best restaurant I have been to along Route 28. The dining... More

Yummy walnut encrusted raibow trout dinner for $14.00 - how can you beat that? My wife and I just ate there and we both have dietary restrictions. Waitress and chef were helpful and accomodating - altering menu items to our needs. Foody was quite good and something I appreciate, a chef that truly deboned the fresh trout.
