All the menu choices sounded great - regretfully, I was able to have only one meal there because it was off-season and they were closed during the week. The pulled pork sandwich was excellent and the tuxedo chocolate dessert fantastic!

My husband and I went here because we were staying in Old Forge and wanted to try a new place. The waitress was good. The shrimp and corn chowder my husband ate was good and our chicken and lemongrass potsticker appetizer was good. That is where the good food ends. Our dinners came out and mine looked liked it was boiled.... More

The food here is average -nothing special - but I would have given them a decent review had we not been rushed. I had 3/4 of a beer yet to drink when we received our check. Within minutes, the hostess (we are pretty sure she is the owner) came over to pick it up. We had not even looked at... More

We stayed in Old Forge but traveled the 15-minutes to the Red Dog Tavern. The food was very good with a very nice atmosphere. Had plenty of things to choose from and the kids had no problem finding something, Would be more than happy to stop in again the next time we are in the area.

The ribs were fantastic. The sweet revenge wings were awesome, however would not recommend the nuclear waste wings. They were below average (according to my 17 year old wing aficionado). The crab cakes special was outstanding.

I always stop at the Red Dog when I'm anywhere close. They Bacon Bleu burger with 10 Sweet Revenge wings is always the highlight of any trip. One of the best meals I've had. Great atmosphere and great food. A must go if you are in the area!

As a connoisseur of ultra-hot chicken wings that melt your face and sizzle your sinus, I’d had a visit to the Red Dog Tavern on my to-do list for some time. The establishment’s website advertises a “Wall of Flame” for those who can consume a full serving of “Armageddon” wings, fiendishly prepared with a proprietary concoction that I suspect contains... Just went to Red Dog Tavern this week. Have been there many times in the past (last time maybe 5 years ago) and I'm always happy with the food. The crab cakes were nice as was the steak. They had some excellent chicken pot stickers for a special appetizer. I'm always amazed that this great little restaurant is hidden in... More

Food and atmosphere was fantastic. The waitress was probably the only weak spot at a time that wasn't even busy. The owner came by and chatted with us and made us feel right at home. Historically, I love this place and it's also my wife's favorite. Best in Inlet I believe and the food was great.

This is definitely a local place that is relaxing and kid friendly. Burgers, wings and more. You have to try the Rumba sticks, fried spicy cheese rolled in tortilla chips with a tasty dipping sauce. Just remember come after 4 pm, but come earily on the weekend, as it is a very popular local place. Enjoy.
