Great meal

We tried this for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and they offer so many different options. It's fun to try something new and we were really happy we tried Fado. Service was good and the seating upstairs was such a nice intimate atmosphere. We had the... read more

This was not my first visit to Fado, nor will it be my last. This little gem sits quietly on a side street, slightly removed from the bustle around it. Food is consistently good here, especially the seafood. The grilled octopus was smokey, tender, and succulent - the best I've had outside of Portugal. Be adventuresome and step outside your... More

Very good value lunch special in particular, including tasty wine, portuguese soups, generous entree and dessert. So relaxing. Lunch is best with a friend. Dinner becomes more romantic and pricier, a nice treat for a special occasion. Any type of fish, in particular the specials, are always goods, and is a dish where they use both clams and sausage. Oh... More

If you want an authentic Portuguese meal, travel no further than Fado. I had the salt fish (bacalhao) and potato croquettes, followed by my favorite whole fish, branzini. I ate as much as I could but just couldn't finish.it was so good I didn't want to leave any! I will be a regular here. Excellent food, superb service, what more... More

I am always skeptical of Groupons. Our favorite restaurants never need to offer them. I purchased a Groupon for FADO because of all the good reviews. They do not take reservations so we arrived at 5:30pm on a Saturday. We were told 1 hour wait. We walked around town and came back in 1 hour only to wait another 30... More

I had dinner with my family, which included my husband, son, and my parents. I enjoyed the grilled octopus. My father is VERY picky and he enjoyed his meal as well. As a matter of fact, my parents recommended it. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. It was a lovely, relaxed meal.

cozy and warm - the perfect, casual place to meet out of town guests for a terrific dinner. Wines were all Portuguese. Our waiter helped with the selection. I've also had their lunch special which is offered 7 days a week. No reservations..

We have eaten at Fado a number of times and find the food and service excellent! As good as anything tried in Lisbon. The Octopus starter is terrific as are all of the Entrees. A must if you are dining in Huntington.

I was just there this week for lunch for the third time, and once again the food was wonderful! They have a piri, piri sauce (the warm one) used on shrimp, a must if you go there. Even there dinner rolls and seasoned butter is delicious. There sangria is very good. If you can't find a place to park in front, just... More

We visited this place with the in-laws, and we all were happy with the food we ordered. They serve things you wouldn't find at many other places such as the tiny snails you need to use a toothpick to eat. But, overall it was all very well prepared. As a previous reviewer mentioned, they do have a lot of fish... More
