Big Disappointment

The service was great, the atmosphere is relatively quiet. Went on a busy Friday night. The crowd seemed to thin by 8 pm. The hot and sour soup was like eating the brown sauce on beef and broccoli: the crispy fragrant duck was not crispy or fragrant. It was mostly fat not much meat. The sauce... read more

I have dined here several times since the lengthy renovation. Those of my friends who also enjoyed Albert's before agree with me that the food is not the same and do not enjoy it anymore. We had dinner here and not only were the prices astronomical, but the meats had a coating texture like they were dipped in flour or... More

It's very difficult to find great, fresh Chinese food on Long Island but we found it here!....The atmosphere was comfortable and quiet enough to enjoy conversation without stress. The menu choices were terrific.....the food was fresh, plentiful and delicious.

I was visiting from New Jersey (land of bad Chinese food) and was meeting a friend in Huntington, so we had a nice relaxing meal at Albert's Mandarin Gourmet. I ordered the very traditional wonton soup, eggroll and chicken chow mein. It was all excellent. Restaurant also has a nice big parking lot which was a convenience. Recommended.

We were a party of 10 on a Saturday night. We had a reservation and were seated promptly at the round table that we requested. Service and food was good, but the noise level was not. There was a party of about 14 seated next to us celebrating a birthday. They made a good dinner very unpleasant. We mentioned it... More

We recently stopped in for a quick dinner and it was very good. It was a week night so the place was not full. We were seated without delay and we were brought complimentary tea, noodles, and dips. We ordered soup, california rolls, and a chicken dish. All were very good, the rolls were fresh and tasty. The service was... More

We arrived around 9pm, the host sat us promptly, three servers approached us to take our order. It would have been nice for one of them to recommend something. The food was ok, including the chicken soong, the Singapore Noodles did not have much of a taste, but the orange beef was outstanding. What bothered me was by 10 pm,... More

The host was very friendly and accommodating, but the food is nothing special and décor is tired. Really not much else to say I'm a afraid.

The renovations have given the place a really needed update. It is now a pretty restaurant and still has solid food.

Huntington is affectionately know to locals as the "Little Apple." We have so many types of restaurants here - Manhattan in microcosm. Still, for good service, yummy Chinese food and a re-do of stellar and glittering proportions, Albert's is a reliable go-to place for varied selections. The sushi looks to be mouth-watering, and I think that the glamorous bar, all... More
