Great space, but service was pretty rude. They were happy to take an 8:30 reservation, but by 9:30 the staff was taking off aprons, turning off lights, and one waiter reacted very negatively to the remote possibility that we might order more food...repeating over and over that the kitchen was closed.. and for all this.. the food was really very... Amazing and authentic food, with a very warm and welcoming environment and staff! We came in after a very long day of travel and, by referral from The Country Squire B & B, enjoyed a relaxing and delicious evening filled with various local food choices that wowed my husband and I. Thank you for taking us in so late and... More

Compare to other restaurants in Hudson it is a little pricey for what you get. That being said, it was excellent food and service. Had the Skate and it was excellent. The pate was good but not my favorite. Would definitely go back though.

Always surprised by the creative concoctions, from drink to food served at this fine establishment. Recently went in on a cold winter day, a warm reprieve from the chilly outdoors. The atmosphere, welcoming… the food, so delicious that I asked that the chef share his recipe for a kale salad.

Cold Day in Hudson but what a nice warm place to stop and grab a bite to eat. Oysters at the bar are hard to beat. Friendly and helpful staff! DJ

I grabbed a drink here a few years ago, but we only grabbed a snack because we had limited time. But, it was easy to tell there was something special about this place. The setting is elegant and smart, but still comfortable and approachable. Thus, on a recent trip to New Paltz, my group made the 45 min drive to... More

We've visited the Hudson area a few times and have been to Swoon twice for dinner, most recently just before Christmas 2013. The atmosphere is fun, the noise level is fine, the service is great, the cocktails are fun and the food is wonderful. The entrees are delicious but the goat cheese & beet salad appetizer is worth going back... More

Came here on a Sunday evening. Made a reservation beforehand but probably didn't need to, though the place ended up being fairly full. Had the fish cakes, shoe string fries, brussel sprouts and bacon dates to start with. Fish cakes were quite good; crunch, breaded exterior and good tasting fish inside (no fishy taste at all). Shoes string fries were... More

We have been going to Swoon, which calls itself a Kitchenbar, for some years and always look forward to it. It is smart but friendly, with welcoming bar and large dining areas and popular with us weekenders as well as local residents. An appetiser of prunes in grilled bacon was delicious. I had slices of tender and well-flavoured skirt steak... More

My family and I dined at Swoon on Friday night. The food was delicious ( my mother and I shared the risotto and it was delicious, my husband had the duck and loved it). The service was great and had a very good overall experience. Cocktails were yummy to! We will be back!
