We recently dined at Swoon kitchenbar when we were in the area to visit Olana. The food (for lunch) was well prepared and relatively reasonably priced. The service was great. I would recommend this place for anybody visiting Hudson.

Excellent ,fresh food and an extensive wine list. Lots of local ingredients, great preparation. The service needs some work! Lack of attention, time between appetizer and main course was long. Staff did not seem to care.

I was excited from the start as even before I opened the door I overheard someone passing by on the street saying it was his favorite restaurant in town. Great ambiance from the moment you walk in. Started with fried artichokes, kale salad and bacon wrapped dates. All amazing. My date had the pork lion and I had the steak.... More

We try to eat at Swoon everytime we are in Hudson. It's unique cuisine using a lot of locally sourced produce, meats and cheeses make it particulary attractive. Also, the accompanying beverage choice is always impressive.

The rap on this place is that it is expensive, and the portions are small. Well, it depends what you order, but I think that if you keep in mind that the chef here is an artist, and the food is prepared and served as a work of art, that puts things in perspective. The food is rich in flavor... More

This is a wonderful restaurant with excellent food, service and ambiance. Try it on a Monday evening when they have "meatless mondays" with a very nice selection from their Monday menu. A great place also for special evenings out.

My fiancé and I visited Swoon at around 7pm on a Friday night. It was busy and we were quickly seated at the table behind the wall of the hostess station. Worst table ever!! The kitchen staff had to walk by us every time they went to and from the kitchen, and patrons also had to walk by our table... More

Thanks to a friend's recommendation, we ordered a couple of side dishes as starters...DAMN GOOD!!! The roasted brussel sprouts were heaven in the mouth. The two main courses we had were top drawer: skirt steak and short ribs. Both were delicious and so well seasoned and prepared. Thank you for such an excellent experience.

Seated right away, my NYC guests noted how much space tables had. Though crowded on Easter Sunday afternoon, we could hear each other. Bacon wrapped dates, served for two, provided enough for all to taste. Ditto the crispy artichokes and a dozen oysters from three different bays. Skate, pan fried salmon, pappardelle with a meat sauce and linguine with ramps... More

Went on a Thursday during their rush time around 7:30 PM. Wait staff all seemed miserable, nobody smiles and everyone who works there seems like their are really overly rushing around. We ordered the risotto saffron as an entree which was incredible small portion and mediocre, we both agreed the size would be something we would eat as a side... More
