We are a fully licensed restaurant and bar that can accommodate 100 people in three areas, bar, dining room and garden, the latter can be separated as a wedding/party venue with it's own sound system and handicap accessible street entrance, we have been open for 15 years and have achieved a very good reputation as a neighborhood gathering spot. We are well priced and give good value for money.

Nice day...nice restaurant

Another summer jaunt. I finally got my wife to take it easy and spend the summer day exploring the region we live in, even if it is takes an hour or more to get there. So, this time we headed for Hudson, New York, without knowing anything about that town other than there are a lot of antique stores... read more

It's a shame about this restaurant. It's got an adorable outdoor seating area and I wanted to like it so much. However, the attitude of the manager (owner?) leaves a lot to be desired. It's as if she doesn't care about the business. Food mediocre at best.

We shared a lovely, peaceful breakfast in the back garden next to a small pond listening to the sound of running water. Red Dot makes a nice spicy Bloody Mary and the eggs and toast were just as ordered. My wife's latke's were somewhat overdone--a small point compared to the overall quality. I agree with other posts that the service... More

The Red Dot is the kind of place that you will feel like you've stepped into a "Cheers" set if you sit at the bar; hopefully the colorful and feisty owner Alana will be there to interact with you. When there is still a chill in the air but not freezing, there is a fire pit outside where locals gather... More

Right to the point: We like the Red Dot for it's food and courtyard. The Mussels are amazing. That is no secret! The menu is small but nicely diverse. I am really yet to see them screw up any of the food dishes. Service is spotty and awkward and has a lack of professional decorum. The strange thing is the... More

My Favorite is mussels and fries. Burgers are good but the menu has good selection of other food. Interesting place for casual lunch or dinner.

My husband and I just finished eating lunch at Red Dot and it was a great experience. Food was fresh and delicious (eggs Benedict on Latkas and a grilled chicken sandwhich) and the staff were attentive and kind. Loved the music (Joni Mitchell in the background). We would definitely go back again!

Ate there twice in the last month and the food was excellent both times. soups were very creative and large-size, main courses were reasonable and delicious, dessert options were simple and creative. Bar side can be noisier and more lively while back room can be more subdued. Mussels were outstanding, chicken pot pie was special, and the soups were delicious.

We were looking for new new restaurant in Hudson and decided to try the Red Dot. We were not disappointed. The drinks were well prepared and generous. The service was attentive and the food was excellent. A good selection of typical American cuisine at a reasonable price.

We stopped in with a group of nine on a Saturday and found the restaurant quite empty. Service was interesting as our waitress couldn't seem to remember who ordered what. Burgers were good, I had an omelette and it was small but a little lacking in flavor. Salad was overdressed but fresh.
