good authentic mexican dishes

while the restaurant may appear to be average mex/American food, I was pleased to find authentic Mexican dishes done very well. I would absolutely dine here again.

While living in Queretaro, this was one of my favourite restaurants. Upon stepping in you are consumed by the decor based on authentic Mexican folkore. Las Catrinas, the Sombreros, the murals all reflect a part of Mexican culture. Additionally the menu is filled with authentic Mexican food from different parts of the country. There is Cochinita Pibil which is traditionally... More

Incredible food, high quality gourmet mexican food. Drinks, mojito mexican style and margarita, was the best I've ever tasted. Waiter was super nice and the place is decorated beautifully!

I was there for a dinner, food was typical mexican, I admit that I'm not a fan..they made live guacamole :) and they serve different starters specific mexican, of course lime on the table and a lot of tortilla. Good margarita with coronita ;), but expensive tequila - same price like food. Very colourfull restaurant, was decorated for "dia de... More

Located in the downtown plaza area of Queretaro. Beautiful and historic area, quite safe with lots of people. Restaurant is quite large and very appealing with lots of decor and pictures. Menu only in Spanish language. We are part of a large table. Service is very slow, in fact, some of us already finished eating while 2 people were waiting... More

Service is great, but for authentic mexican food and flavor look elsewhere. The dishes where somewhat creative but may be on the bland side.

Very colorful restaurant with a varied Mexican menu. Food was good and very reasonable. Portions were quite large so it's a good idea to share a platter if you can. It's an ideal restaurant for families with young children.

There used to be a restaurant at this location, "La Viejoteca" but it closed. San Miguelito appeared form the ashes of La Viejoteca, and although it is not as good, it is a good place to have a Tamarind Margarita, with chilli powder on the rim. Will not eat there, maybe ask for appetizers to go with the Margarita.

We walked by this restaurant and our eye got caught by its decoration. So at the end we decided to give it a try and we had our lunch there. The prices were a little bit expensive compared to other restaurants but we decided to treat ourselves. The waiters were very nice and ours was very funny. We had the... More

Asked for a mojito and the waiter said they would do it with a 'x' rum brand, which is the most expensive rum. I asked if they did it with other rum brands too, he said the price wouldn't be much different. Asked for the price (he didn't gave us the drinks menu), he got all weird and repeating that... More
