Good food

Well presented food. Steak was very tender. Rather surprised no bread was offered with the soup. Good service.

Had to wait for food very long time because restaurant was so busy. I ordered carlic shrimps and got clear signs of food poisoning straight afterwards.

When you come to Gambia you expect to be on GMT but in the Captains table the service was terrible, on occasion taking over an hour to serve food. We ate here 3 times over the course of a week. 2 occasions were average and the third was really bad. The food came after an hour wait. The chicken was... More

We ate here three times. Each time wad good. The chicken yassa is delicious but bewarned its spocey even if (as i did) asked for no spice, it was still very spicey. The ptawn brochette was delicious as was the steak brochette. Good quality for a reasonable price.

Close to the Kombo Hotel which I highly recommend. Great ambience, not bad menu but a bit "samey", waitress was ok but a tad sleepy. To be critical I love places that are full to the rafters and have a buzz about them but this was a bit quiet if im honest.

We were staying at the Bakuto Hotel which is connected. We were here for the New Years celebrations. All the were well laid. The atmosphere was good. The staff friendly, if a bit clumsy. I ended up with a candle in my plate and cutlery on the floor. The food was well prepared and served nicely. We ordered wine. Bit... More

Staff lovely, service lovely but food ? Husband ordered what he thought was steak, it was a bruschetta on a skewer, not a lot for 700 dalasi. I had Chicken Yassa half of chicken on the bone and set rice. Husband had a dessert banana loaf and ice scream, 2 sponge buns and scoop of ice cream which he had... More

Food was OK but very expensive and the restaurant was very dingy and lacked atmosphere. Surprisingly for the Gambia the service was a bit churlish and felt like we were being difficult when we asked for the candle to lit, for wine and when we didn't order promptly enough.
