Sunday evening is a must!

Popped in one lunchtime for a beer and it was lovely and relaxing and the menu looked good. My friend and I decided to back there on a Sunday evening as we were told there would be music and lots to see. It was, we were told 'the place to go'. It was an eye opener, very loud reggae music... read more

Hidden from the high road of Cape Point a truly local place where Gambian youngsters gather to chat, eat, drink ( mainly non-alcoholic drinks :) rest, play sports, organise reggae parties and just generally to relax. Very friendly and attentive staff that remembered me after 6 months :) Find yourselves a sun bed in the shade, exhale and "take it... More

Brilliant, you get a real sense of Gambia in this place, eaten here on a few occasions and the locals look after you.

Great to walk along the beach from Ocean Bay, see the boats in the bay and stroll up to the bar for a daytime beer. Staff very welcoming and a nice place to cool off in the shade. However, approaching the bar one evening from the road it's not signed, you need to turn down the road where the construction... More

Just returned from Cape Point. Spent a lot of time at Sunshine. Mams and the team are great, really looked after me. Great food and really good value. Lovely music including a fantastic drum band from Guinea Bissau some afternoons. I will go back in November to visit new friends.

What a delight - we were first attracted by an offer of beers at 50% hotel prices. But discovered so much more. These guys are very proud of their country, and love to chat! About trips one can make, football and all manner of things - just like down the local at home in the UK! We experienced Gambian time... More

I read the reviews & sought this place out. Maybe I hit a bad day? There was 1 other paying customer. The beer wasn't too long in arriving but it took over an hour for the food to arrive. This only arrived then because after an hour, I asked for the bill twice & was prepared to walk. Then the... More

Thank you Omar for showing this little gem to us. Good food and a wonderful setting. The staff and the food were both delightful. Omar arranged a trip for us and we wernt expecting a fishing trip but I did catch two lovely fish and the chef at the resturant cooked them for us on the evening. I know I... More
