I have gone to this restaurant for 24 years. It has always been a highlight of the summer, and i've been looking forward to this dinner for the past 2 weeks. Tonight I had the most disappointing dinner. The shrimp appetizer was sub-par. I ordered their specialty pecan-cranberry chicken; had I... read more

We have not been to the Glen Haven in many years. Visited recently. Has definitely gone "DOWNHILL". Portions were "very small" while prices were high for a country inn in this area. The building appears to be in a state of disrepair. The Veal Marsala was tasteless. The sauce was watery without a hint of wine. Good mushrooms though. The... More

Had lunch here recently -- Sandwich specials, both very good. Cole slaw and potato salad they came with were also very good. Can't speak to anything else on the menu. We sat on the porch. Nice view, nice breeze, very pleasant. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We'd go here for lunch again. Only draw back is that they don't... More

I've been going to this restaurant for more than thirty years but lately it has gone way downhill. Same old menu but the portions are unusually small and ill prepared and very overpriced. Unless you just like the atmosphere, you may wish to consider another restaurant for lakeside dining.

we've seen this restaurant advertised for quite a while and decided to make the hour trip to have dinner there. As soon as we saw the structure (which certainly was did not resemble the artist's rendering in the ad) we should have driven away. It's in very poor repair and dilapited and very old (not good old). The wine list... More

When is "in Homer NY" NOT in Homer, NY? Why, in trip advsor of course. This is a hotel without a single room available about 22 miles from Homer, NY (worth a ramble in its own right. Over the past decade the Glen Haven has had food of varying quality --right now pretty good and continuing to improve-- but two... More

This is not for loging, but a wonderful stop on Skaneatles Lake! Come by boat or car - don't forget to ask for the dessert tray!!! South end of the lake.
