This wonderful restaurant is no longer open due to damage sustained from Hurricane Sandy in 2012. I have tried to reach your website to alert potential patrons to this situation. Can you put on the site that the restaurant is no longer open. If it opens again in the future, I will let you know. Thank you.

I just learned this morning that Tom Civile is closing Venice on the Hudson due to hurricane Sandy and the weak economy. What a shame. We have been frequenting the restaurant for 15 years before Tom took over the olde Vincent's Landing. Tom revitalized and improved the restaurant to what it is today. Tom has one of the best river... When visited this place, I knew that I would be going to an upscale restaurant. One of the things I love about upscale restaurants in Rockland County is that they understand that they can be upscale but casual as well. As soon as I walked into the place however, it felt stuffy. The clientele was very odd as well to... More

This is our second trip to Civile's Venice on the Hudson. Especially in summer, the setting is beautiful and it is a nice special occasion spot. Service was good. Prices were fairly reasonable. Food, however, was just OK with many of the usual Italian offerings. A chicken marsala was drenched in a heavy sauce. Pastas were reliable. Desserts were not... More

Our family went here for the first time and we will return. The views were amazing, right on the Hudson River. I was worried because it had been raining all day, but we were seated under a tent, still had that outdoor feeling and views of river. The food was excellent and the service was great. We were a large... More

Overall this is an excellent restaurant. I have visited many times and have never had any problem whatsoever. The food is very good, the views of the hudson are amazing and the service is generally impeccable. I have visited the restaurant in a setting as a couple and also with a large group of friends and family. All the plates... More

Was very excited with all the great reviews the restaurant received- so my husband and I decided to give it a try. Great Hudson river views and terrace seating but the greatness stops there!! After almost 25 minutes of sitting there with glasses Of water and bread from the busboy- NOBODY came to our table!!!! There was about ten bus... More

A fabulous restaurant ON the Hudson. Wonderful views right on the waterfront. The food was cooked to perfection, We started out with Roasted paper, basil and mozzarella. The cheese was so fresh and creamy inside (I had similar mozzarella only in Italy!). My husband had an arugula, beet and goat cheese salad. I had shrimp parm with a side of... More

This wonderful establishment was recommended by me by a friend who stumbled on it while traveling along a route near the hudson river. We lucked out mid 70's sunny, and a nice seat outside. It wasn't a very busy day when we arrived but soon it filled and a party moved in later in the afternoon. We arrived at around... More
