We ate at Cafe La Strada last night and we both had agita by the time we left. We were never so rushed in our lives at a fine dining restaurant. We ordered our wine and then our food. 30 seconds later the salad came out with the bread. We couldn't even enjoy our wine and a piece of bread.... More

I was staying in Hauppauge while attending a conference and this restaurant was recommended by my hotel. I cannot say enough positive things about this place. Old school professional wait staff, generous portions of delicious food and a lovely ambiance. I had the steamed escarole and pasta pescadora. The food was served piping hot, the escarole was mixed with just... More

The best Italian food outside of Italy. Unbelievable sauce just like my Italian Grandmas. Best dessert I ever had. I forget the name but it was fresh berries in some sort of cream and liquor. Fried calamari appetizer is the best I ever had. Check out the wine cellar atmosphere. Walls are lined with fine wine for a fine restaurant

Our first dinner at Cafe La Strada was well worth it. The waiter could not have been more accommodating with our request. He sized up my son for spaghetti and meatballs and our dinners were top shelf. You can add us to the other great reviews.

This is a diamond of a restaurant, the people are very friendly , the service impeccable ! If you want something not on the menu they will try and make it for you . I had the seafood ravioli with creamy tomato sauce made fresh , my wife had the baked clams and she raved about how good they were... More

We were there on a business trip; stayed in a nearby-hotel. Recommended by the hotel, we were hesitant to take their advice, since our experience is that hotels tend to recommend chains and otherwise-mediocre restaurants. But this was nice. Very homey, and while busy, the staff was very nice. The food was good, with a few very reasonable deals on... More

We went to dinner at Cafe La Strada last night. Upon entering it felt a little warm but it was very humid yesterday. We sat and ordered our dinner. After about 15 minutes of sitting there, the heat became unbearable and the sweat was pouring off both of us. We asked the waiter if they could lower the air conditioner... More
