Island Food (on Long Island)

We were in Long Island visiting some friends and they suggested we go to Rumba. Thankfully they made reservations, this is a small place that was packed. It was a rainy windy day, so they lost the outside patio seating for the evening. We had a short wait for our table, but it gave us time to go... read more

The location is really beautiful. We really FELT like we were on actual vacation. The food is mouth watering, and there are so many smart and original touches that make Rumba inforgettable. Up until two Sundays ago, I had never had a fish taco, though I had been wanting to try one for a long time. I finally got the... More

MUST eat the tacos...any of them, all of them! Enjoying a rum punch on the dock is so much fun until the droves of summer visitors arrive. Any plans for expansion?

Definitely worth the trip to the Hamptons alone. The food was amazing. The drinks were amazing. Totally amazing. Already planning my second trip

Although it is a little off the beaten track, it's a great find. The spectacular views of the Hampton bays create the aura of a peaceful vibe, only to be spoilt by the lack of available parking. My husband and I arrived shortly after opening for lunch and the place was already packed. A good sign but really the parking... More

We considered dinner at Rumba the start of summer! The vibe is festive, the drinks generous, and the food a little more imaginative. The key lime pie was a highlight, tart and refreshing with a good cup of French pressed coffee. We only wish that there was a little more dining space as the hyperactive bar does get noisy, making... My fiance and I went here on a spring day in May. It was not too crowded but we came right when they opened. The location on the bay is just stunning. We sat at the high top tables with a great view! I had the watermelon mojito and was worried it would be too sweet, quite the opposite, they... More

We arrived at Rumba about 10 minutes before our 7 pm reservation time, but when we got to the restaurant we were told that there were no parking spaces and that we would have to drive to another location and wait for their bus to take us to the restaurant . We met another couple who were leaving without eating... More
