We take a trip to Hampton Bays every year and spend most of our time at the Beach Hut! It is the absolute best setting for a sunrise dinner right on the beach! You get top notch food, right on the beach, and at an absolute bargain(as far as food in the Hamptons go).

We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was here. The fried shrimp was incredible, one of the best we've ever had. The chicken fingers & fries were great too. The food was hot & fresh! The scenery is beautiful. You sit out front or to the side of the hut overlooking the beach & the Shinnecock inlet. While... More

Place was very crowded, we figured place was good, service like a fast food restaurant but excellent food with fast service and half the price of a fancy sea food restaurant.

The Beach Hut has everything you want in a beachside restaurant except good food. The menu looks great. Everything seems appetizing until you taste it. I've been there a several times over the last couple of years with friends and family and the food has never been good. It tastes like newly expired frozen food from a discount warehouse store.... If you want to dig your feet in the sand and listen to some good live music in a relaxed atmosphere, this is your place. The food is ordered at a counter and delivered to your table about an hour later, usually cold. The drinks are overpriced, but strong. If you're not paying attention to the food or service and... I´m so happy brainbytes will not coming back to the beach hut! the food is surprisingly good, and not the sharp stick in the eye commonly experienced in east end dining, fair prices!!! it is a fun rolicking place with mostly happy people except when brainbytes was there of course, just lotsa folks having a real good time, like i... Ok, to start it off, the con... weekends are way crowded so I stay away. The Pro's: everything else! Great safe, calm and clean water. Lots of things for the kids to do including catching little hermit crabs and other little animals. Fishing on the jettie. Floating around, swimming and paying in the playground (if you find the need). The... More

This place is a bit noisy and crowded and the seating is chaotic, but the music and classic cars on cruise night make up for it. The food is adequate, but just what most people want at the beach.

I sometimes wonder about people! "brainbytes" pans this quaint little shack on the beach at the Shinnicock canal, writing: ":Fast and unhealthful. Menu is very limited. Unsophisticated options here." I don't know what computer dungeon or fantasy world he is from, but "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT " from a hut on the beach! Chef Ramsey? The others commenting were more... More
