Always enjoy our dinners here, food is pretty basic but wholesome and reasonable. Not fancy dining with linen tablecloths, but has a good old time feel. Still same family run, with a staff that keeps hopping and friendly. Absolutely recommend it, for a relaxed fair price meal far less than many lakefront places and the hands down one of the... More

Just another fantastic experience at Hoaks on December 22! Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and willing to help us with question despite being very busy with a full dining room. We had the surf and turf, broiled shrimp and scallops, huge traditional Hoaks fish fry and huge and I mean HUGE buffalo style chicken sandwich. Their scallops... More

My friend and I always loved the shrimp at Hoak's back in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Been a while since I had been back and it was not what I expected. My friend said that she had the shrimp a couple of years ago and that I would probably be disappointed. I thought maybe it was just a bad... More

Been here on two separate locations. Waiting both times to even be acknowledged. One time was over 25 minutes. Walked out. The 2nd time in a nice day and waited over an house after ordering. Both times were during lunch and we were only ones there. Not sure how still in business. Awesome views though. Food avg

We frequent this place because it's right the road from us. My wife loves their fish fry, for me, there's too much breading. I do like the broiled fish. Sometimes, they offer mako shark or swordfish steaks. Had both, and enjoyed both. Scallop and shrimp dishes are excellent. The place is located on the lake, so the atmosphere is great. In... More

Have eaten here several times going back to the 80's. Beef on weck is very good as is their fish, just nothing to rave about any more. Good locale as it is convenient if heading to Buffalo from south or west.. Just nothing out of the ordinary.

Been eating there for years! This visit Not The Same! Ordered Perch dinner, when it arrived it looked great and plenty of it! When I bit in, I noticed the batter was very thick and I mean thick could hardly taste the perch and it made it look twice the size that it really was! All pieces were the same,... More

Visiting the area from Nebraska, our relatives wanted to treat us to a local favorite. It is now one of our favorites too. The restaurant has a brilliant view of the lake. Our server was wonderful, and was great to our party of 8. Known for their Fish Fry, I ordered a plate. The largest piece of fish I have... More

My wife and I and another couple had a great fish dinner while touring in the area. We would highly recommend due to preparation and flavor.
