not sure how other reviews were only GOOD. man this place was perfect. very neat atmosphere right on a creek over the back porch. the craft beers were very good, the meals were excellent. even had dessert - you'd have to like rich chocolate though. wouldn't change a thing. people and service was friendly. very highly recommended. a must if... In the interest of honesty I live in Hague 4 1/5 months a year. About 6 or 7 years ago Crispin Ginn and Sheri DeLarm opened this restaurant in Hague. My wife and I have supported the business as it is great to have a nice place to have a good meal and drink close to home. Over the years... More

We sat outside on a wonderful night and it made the entire dining experience very nice. We had been there last year and were anxious to try it again this year, we liked it both times. The food was good and the variety of specials made it hard to choose. We ate from both the regular and specials menu and... More

First, let me say that our family are seasonal regulars in Hague and have gone to the Firehouse for a number of years and, after this experience, can only say it's equal to being on a roller coaster. For a very long time, the food was consistent, not always good, but consistent. It wasn't high level but you take what... More

Since it was the only place to eat in town, we went. We did not have reservations, so they stuck us in the corner, though none of the other tables were occupied the whole time we were there. The service was good. The food was so so. The kale salad did not have all the ingredients it was supposed to... More

The ambience, setting, and view from the porch promise a great meal. Our waiter was confused and kept going back to the bar and kitchen to understand what was offered, then he would come back and say he was wrong the first time. The food was very average especially when compared to the other establishments the chef worked at. We... More

So few good restaurants in the area, had high hopes but the service was horrendous and the food was ok, nothing terrible, nothing great. The setting is very pretty

We were warned that the prices were a bit high (for the area) but found the somewhat limited menu interesting. Calamari was great, as were mussels, if the portions were slightly smaller than we're used to seeing. I had the lobster salad, which was good. Service was great, although she was VERY busy - friendly and attentive. Would go again.

Our server, Meg, said she only worked one night a week, but she was thoughtful and helpful. The salmon with tabouleh could have used a little acid but it was perfectly cooked. The burger, too, was perfect. We has the lemon cake with marscapone and it was light and refreshing. A lovely birthday dinner.
