They are in a little over their heads

We were seated promptly for our reservation. They were very busy at 7:00 on a July Thursday. They have mostly four-top tables, most with a nice view of the creek that runs behind the restaurant. The base menu had a limited selection of entrees, and I found it odd that they would have modern... read more

It's hard to believe but this place served tasteless food. It was fresh but simply lacked flavor. Cesar salad: fresh lettuce but dressing had no flavor. It was simply white. Fried chicken was hot and crispy but needed salt and pepper and more. It was bland. Mashed potatoes were over whipped, gloppy and gluey. Hamburger was good. But fries that... More

Like another reviewer, I have dined here more than half a dozen times over the years and had some great meals and some okay ones. I almost always order from the specials which are completely rotated about every three days.. Never had a bad meal. The food is freshly prepared, so it can be a bit of a long wait... More

I have gone here several times, They are one of the only places to eat in the Town of Hague. The food is interesting at times. I have had good meals here and I have had, not so good meals here. I do hope they last because it is nice to come here once in a while when you don't... More

We planned to dine outdoors but changed our order to takeout because of our uncooperative kids. We were surprised by the high cost of our meal but after we ate our delicious meal we felt that the cost was worth it. No complaints. We ordered a salmon and pork entree. We will definitely return when we're up in the area... More

We ate hear for a friend's rehearsal dinner. It was wonderful. Food was perfect, staff was great and the location and setting is perfect. Would love to go back for a regular dinner!

The meals were outstanding. We ate there four different evenings. All of our meals were priced appropriately and the staff was very attentive and nice.

The fire house restaurant has a great location, cute Brook in the back. The seating was rather limited- and seating on the inside was very tightly packed in, since the bar takes up 90% of the space. The food was alright, for dinner I had the country fried chicken, which is deep fried and soaked in red hots. In my... More

We have visited the Hague area for over 20 years and usually visit The Firehouse at least once. It is getting worse every year. First, the menu is an odd mix of expensive choices (pork ragout over pasta for $26) and standard pub grub (burgers, fish and chips). We started with a salad and chicken wings. Salad was mediocre; chicken... More
