Stopped by for lunch after a late afternoon visit to the wineries. Was greeted immediately by our friendly waiter and seated at a table upstairs. From there, everything was great. Service was prompt, food came out quickly and it was wonderful. Can't wait to try the other soups. Will eat here again next time I'm in Greenport.

I came here with a group of friends and everything was fantastic. The mojitos were good and the lemonade was great. We shared an appetizer of fried calamari, which was accompanied with a really great sauce that was a nice change from the normal marinara sauce, and lamb & olive meatballs they were seasoned deliciously. I had the braised pork... More

They truly have wonderful food here and the food is incredibly delicious. I've tried a few of their soups and they all had a "Wow!" factor. It is conveniently located and open when other places are not, which is a definite plus in the off season. A wonderful place to quietly sit down and enjoy a meal. The small messages... More

For the last ten years we have enjoying great food from Salamander throughout their open season. We even have placed very large orders for our wedding party and other events. Definitely high quality sandwiches, fried chicken and specialty products ... with prices to match. We have always been able to deal with the less than friendly service, but our most... More

My wife decided to try Salamanders when we discovered that our first choice was closed for the season. I am glad we did, the food selection was eclectic and the 2 dishes we has were excellent. The Thai style soup was served steaming hot and was a tasty mix of sour & spicy spices that were well balanced and delicious.... More

We really appreciate your glowing review of our food. We source local & organic/natural foods as much as possible. We have some talented farmers out here on the North Fork. But we are sad to hear that you were neglected at the door & table. It is our mission to give our guests a warm welcome as soon as they... More

We went here twice for lunch. Great environment, great service and surprisingly great food. Of the three lobster rolls that we tried in three different restaurants, theirs was by far the best. Great soups and really good fried chicken. Also a very good value.

Before taking the ferry to Shelter Island, we decided to grab a bite to eat as options on the island are limited. I checked trip advisor and decided to give this place a try. Two of us ordered the fried chicken, which was amazing. A good size portion for the price with the best French fries. My 8 year old... More

Delighted to read your kind words, thank you very much! Not sure you realized we also have a dining room on the mezzanine which is open at busy times-- so not so "little." We hope you will return soon to discover our menu & atmosphere are always changing. More
