I have to admit that the steak and the foods are really awesome, but can you imagine that one of there waiter did the awful service to us. I think that should not happen in this famous restaurant, however, it actually did!! The waiter spread the sauce on my sister's dress without saying sorry but "oop~~". Plus, the table was... More

I've been to the Brooklyn location before so it was my first time here. I got the burger this time and it was delicious! I love burgers and this one was simple and the meat was thick! I love the steak here as well. My bf and I usually get the Porterhouse and it's perfect! The best steak we've ever... More

Peter Luger's of Brooklyn and Great Neck is the finest restaurant for steak in the universe. Brooklyn has old world ambience while the Great Neck location has the elegance. You cannot go wrong ordering a medium or medium rare steak for one, two, three etc. You don't ask for a menu although they do have fish and chicken for tourists... More

Luger had the most arrogant waiting staff you will ever encounter. The food is good. The hamburger will costs you, not including tips and taxes, about $10. A steak will cost you about $50. The atmosphere reflects a successful restaurant that the owners just want to make money and not change anything.

For starters we selected the tomatoes and onion, the bacon (which is a must if you order anything order the bacon!!!) and the crab meat cocktail. All perfectly presented, bacon was crisp and tremendously flavorful. We ordered a steak for 2 which was a large porterhouse steak, which is plenty for two people with the sides of German fries (... Absolute joke of a place. The service was so bad it was comical and the food was an absolute rip off. $15 for a couple of slices of tomoto and onion was bad enough but $50 for the porterhouse which was good but definitely not exceptional was too much. The worst thing by far though was the rude uninterested waiter... More

I've tasted better steaks I don't care how long there aged, family style is not my cup of tea and because I was a woman surrounded by the "Boys" I was served different.

I prefer this location as it is less crowded than the Brooklyn location, but just as good and you may have a wait. The staff are impeccable, service is great and the steaks and chops are to die for. The appetizers are excellent, as are the deserts. HIGHLY recommended.

The place really does make an excellent steak. My husband and I both had the rib steak and it really was ONE of the best steaks we've ever had. Like top 3.Our waiter may not have been very charming, however he was an obvious pro and didn't miss a beat. This restaurant is recommended by all as THE place to... More
