If you're craving Persian...

Very good Persian food, all the times that I've been, except my most recent (which is why I knocked it down to four stars)... I've found the food to be rather salty especially the split chickpeas dish surrounded with the red sauce/broth. I've noticed that when food is very salty I have a higher... read more

I wanted Persian food so bad, mainly Basmati rice. One of our fav's were closed. So we found this place. It was half an hour before closing (we got a little lost). But they were open. The server seated us, he was so attentive. Not sure if its because we were the only two patrons. Lol. We wasted no time... More

Friendly, attentive service, attractive ambience, well-prepared authentic Persian and Continental dishes and ample portions are all hallmarks of this long standing Great Neck neighborhood restaurant. Recommended dishes include Moroccan cigars, baba ganoush, salad Olivier, salmon kebab, barg, chicken Marsala and fessenjoon. Come with family or friends for a relaxing and enjoyable meal.

Great Neck is home to a large community of Persians. There are several Persian restaurants and this one is a favorite. They serve sandwiches to go for lunch and also offer a delicious Persian soup called Asch. Make sure to try the soup if you come here. The decor is very dated and the service average but the food makes... More

We ordered food to take out to our hotel to eat for the Sabbath. We asked to owner for his recommendation of which dishes would taste best if they could not be reheated. His suggestions were spot on. The food was flavorful and not overly spicy. The quantities were so large that we had to give away left overs. We... More

The place is decorated OK, and is located right off a main strip in Great Neck. The food was bland and very reminiscent of a Greek diner. Was at a catered affair which was run nicely but there really wasn't much to eat that wasn't some weird exotic stuff. The waitress that worked the party was excellent. The bartender a... More

I have been here several times with business groups. Chatanooga was chosen to accomodate kosher attendees, but the only thing a non-observant eater will notice is the absence of milk and shellfish (and of course pork). The food is full on Persian, with no resemblance to typical eastern European Jewish cuisine. Shish-kebabs were grilled juicy, the rice dishes were outstanding,... More

I dined at Chatanooga on Thanksgiving Day with my wife, and two others. We were rather late for lunch (1:30) and were the only diners present in a rather large space. The restaurant was doing a brisk take out business. Service was very attentive, and the prices surprisingly reasonable. We had a wide variety of appetizers and main dishes, and everything... More
