Its quaint, homelike atmosphere and close proximity to the Niagara River make this restaurant a popular meeting place for locals, as well as for those visiting off island. In 1988, owner Michael Carr took over The Village Inn that was previously named Lippens Grill. He changed the name to The Village Inn, which was inspired by his father. look, folks familiar with our 800-plus reviews, including a few previously of this place (check 'em out), may feel we are tolerant to a fault, with too high a percentage of "very goods"... it is against this history that we report with some pain that last night's visit sort of didn't work out... we had some great things, especially a... It looks like an old Farm House with a friendly little entrance. You pass a Mini Bar that offers a variety of Micro-beers and Ales with a great little list of wines. Meals are excellent with a very good range from steak sandwiches, burgers, pasta and salads to a perfect fish fry. The soups are home-made recipes, my favorite is... More

We've been here on a business lunch at the beginning of November, it was a nice experience overall. Service was quick and the staff nice, the location is really cute altough the place is small and the tables are just a little too close to each others. We've had two steaks as a meal and the food quality was ok,... More

This is our go-to restaurant, never been disappointed. Big decision on whether to go with one of 3 daily soups included with meals (our fave is Lemon Tabasco Clam Chowder) or wait to have one of Sarah's outstanding homemade desserts. Service is always attentive. Fish fry is huge and tasty - no reservations for Friday though so go early.

First time visit with two other couples who eat regularly here. Wife and I opted for sirloin sandwich on garlic toast with mushrooms. I thought they had nuked the sirloin, when it came, but it was perfectly done as we asked, medium. Nice and tender, mushrooms added good flavor to tasty garlic toasted bun. We added an excellent caesar salad; as... More

Small home feeling. Nice little bar. You get a very nice size glass of wine. The food is always reasonable priced and very good quality. The owner is always there and on top of things. The casual food, such as wings, beef on weck and salads are great. The specials and dinner entrees are great and well priced.
