I was on my way to the Hyde Museum and found Steve's Place nearby. I stopped in for a late Sunday breakfast. It had all the hallmarks of a well-managed local restaurant, clean, well-lighted, nicely laid out. The wait staff were friendly, courteous, and attentive. Perusing the menu, I noticed the "home-made corned beef hash," which I chose without hesitation.... More

We were passing through town and looking for a place to grab lunch. Steve's looked nice from the outside and had plenty of cars in the parking lot (usually a good sign). The restaurant was very clean and the wait staff attentive. We both had the soup of the day - clam chowder, which was very tasty. A few less... More

We were driving back to New Jersey from Vermont and pulled off of an exit and took a chance. We were pleasantly surprised. He had a burger and I had quiche. Everything was very yummy.

Had a late lunch there today - didnt know what to expect from the outside. Outside is nice, looks up to date - kind of like a burger place. Upon entering was very surprised that it's very diner like inside. 80's wallpaper, tables and chairs. Not very appealing. But didn't let the decor turn us away. Server was pleasant -... More

Hubby and I spent 3 days in the area and enjoyed our breakfast here 2 of those days and one night we enjoyed our supper. I love the old diner type places, every booth has it's own jukebox. The food tastes like good old home cooking. The staff were attentive, fun, and friendly. We'll go back for sure if we're... More

Food was good and reasonably priced. Staff very friendly. A lot of locals eat there. Service was quick, yet we never felt rushed. Good $5.00 breakfast: eggs, potatoes, sausage/bacon and toast.

Convenient location between downtown and the Interstate with a large parking lot. They have a large diner menu and a board full of specials where we generally find something of interest. We just had beef stew and shepherd's pie for lunch. If you like that sort of cuisine, hearty and filling at a good price, you'll like Steve's. Service has... More
