Our Zummy Experience

This restaurant is a treat b/c its like going on vacation to Germany and you haven't even left Queens! The décor is fun, waitresses dress like they are from the old country and the portions are large. FYI -- If you are not a connoisseur of German food you may not find it tasty. Once you step off the street in queens and into this restaurant, you feel like you walk into another world. From the decor, to the servers outfits, you feel like you are in Germany. The food here is OUTSTANDING. The goulash soup was phenomenal, so tasty. I had gluhwein to drink which was warm and delicious. The jägersnitzel entree for... More

Party of 12 for 50th Birthday. This was my first time here,so I was excited to try everything. The food was really good, the service not so much. The waitresses (never the same one) kept bringing us more apps and drinks than we ordered. At first we just took everything, after all there were 12 of us. But after the... More

Zum Stammtisch, an Old German food favorite that has survived and thrived. Still great service at the bar and excellent table service with wonderful food options. Years later the Veal Codrdon Bleu is still my favorite and a Zum specialty. Well worth the trip while in New York for business and then dining with some old friends from Queens. You... More

If you want excellent German food in NYC, you simply have to come here. The experience is as amazing as the food. We came on a Saturday night at 5pm, and the place was already packed with locals; it would've taken two hours for us to get a table, so we hung out at the bar until two seats became... More

This is the best German restaurant in NY. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. The service is excellent. The food is authentic and delicious!! Every time I visit Queens this is the place I have to go to. Saurbraten, dumplings and the cabbage is my favorite. And the goulash soup is so good I take it home in bulk!!

German cuisine at it's finest in NYC.....had the weiner schnitzel and with spaetzle (only served on Tues and Thurs) and with a side of cooked spiced red cabbage and a side of Hunters gravy for the spaetzle.....really delicious cuisine. They have quite an extensive menu to choose from as well....and a bar with beers on tap...typical German decorating from Munich....try... More
