First off, I've never been to Germany, so I may be way off - but I've been to Epcot Center in Orlando, FL, and this, like many places there, made me feel like this is what it would be like, were I to travel to Germany. I went here with family whose family members before them used to visit, once... More

Took a short trip over the Whitestone Bridge to treat my wife and son to a nice German meal on a Friday night. The atmosphere is overly decorated, dark and lodge-like- just perfect! The waitresses are on the older side, but very professional, pleasant and certainly know their way around the beers and the menu. Appetizers- Deutscher Salat- fresh homemade... More

I lived in the neighborhood for years & must say even passing by the building makes your mouth water. The smells from the oven around the back of the building can't compare with the authentic German meal you'll enjoy should you walk thru the doors. It's like going back in time to another country to sit at the clean tables... More

Waiter staff very friendly , but to the point ( a german thing) . You can always count on a good, hot german meal. Been going for years and never had a bad meal. The bar is a throw back and I love it. A true german eatery.

I grew up in Glendale and went to "Zums" (as it is known) from time to time. When I was younger, there were 4 other German restaurants in the area, but all have come and gone except for Zums and that's because they are the BEST. I have since moved to LI but when we bring in the kids to visit... More

It's hard to find German restaurants, even harder to find good German restaurants; this is one of the great few. It's fun to eat here - they have a nice mix of interesting customers, attractive decor, and very good food. They have a large menu with a lot of German/Austrian dishes. Most of the menu is similar to other German... More

Even in a packed house for the World Cup final the service was great and they didn't change prices for the event. The Jagerschnizal was great and the beer was cold. Will go back as soon as I can.

My family dined at Zum Stammtisch recently and the food was authentic German and delicious. I had some very unique dishes which may not appeal to everyone, but I found them reminiscent of my childhood and very tasty. The rest of the family enjoyed more conventional dishes like Weiner Schnitzel and Roast Pork Loin with Sauerkraut. Although it is not... More

Went to Zum Stammtisch Sunday afternoon. Haven't been there in quite some time and am happy to say it has not changed. The food and service were great. The Jager Schnitzel is the best in New York. Very few real German style restaurants have survived but this place is a keeper.

Grew up a few blocks from Zum's. Undoubtedly the best German restaurant in NYC. Great beer menu and the best soup ever! When in Glendale don't miss this treasure.
