we went in, was a very small place. the bathroom was not clean, the bars next door were seedy borderline disgusting, one guy harassed my wife for money and cigarettes. When coming out of the bathroom and finding a table we were waiting a long time for service and drinks. the food was good to poor and not worth the... More

We dined at The Red Dove on a Tuesday evening. When we arrived, the restaurant was not too busy, and we were seated right away. It seemed like most of the patrons were locals. The service started out very strong, and we were very pleased with our appetizers and entrees. A true standout were the polenta fries accompanying our steak... More

On a Saturday afternoon, around 1:30pm, we walked into the Red Dove Tavern - and there was one table with 4 people. Trip Advisor had rated this the #2 in the area (#1 is only open for dinner), so we thought we'd give it a try. With the tin ceiling, it had a bit of charm - but the menu... More

My daughter and I ate the other night and just had mains and a dessert. She had the duck which she liked very much. I had the sockeye salmon which I had asked to have cooked medium. The "waitress", who was really the hostess, acted like she had never heard anyone ask for medium salmon, but was very nice and... More

A nice find in the finger lakes. Great lamb chops. Interesting sides of garlicky kale and a delicious spinach and bean puree. The only fly in the ointment was cold coffee. Very nice and different cocktails. The waitress had graduated from culinary school, but it was one of her first nights waiting tables. She did a good job and was... More

We stopped in not expecting much, but ended up having a great night out. Lively and friendly, just sat at the bar for a drink. Great professional bar tender, he made a great margarita from scratch. Interesting beers on tap. Decided to try an assortment of oysters, really fresh and well presented. We then had some very innovated main dishes.... More

This place has a nice eclectic beer selection, interesting food choices (including $1 oysters on some nights), and really hard working staff that hustle and are attentive. This place is well run and has a nice buzz. Locals obviously love this place. We "went local" by going there both nights of our two day visit it was so good!

This was recommended to us to try. We went on "Crusin Night" in Geneva. We went early to avoid the crowd, (about 4:30), but we were just one of two parties in the place. So, wasn't necessary to rush The place is small, but comfortable. I'm told they have a great deep fried Chic Pea. But, I didn't dare try... More

I stumbled into this place and although a bit loud where I was sitting ... Surely a sign of life ... The place seemed to have a nice vibe ... The service was perfect ... The food as well, duck, zucchini flowers, smelts etc ... All cooked perfectly ... Great date place or perfect for fine different foods ... Salute... More

The minute my Wife and I walked in it reminded both of us of our favorite restaurant in Saugerties NY. Small, quaint and welcoming. The food was very good. It was the first and only time I will ever eat there. Would definitely recommend it.
