My wife and I still dine here when we are in the Finger Lakes...the restaurant has wonderful ambiance and great elegance. The food however just doesn't shine...very ordinary preparations with also no real creativity...more like food you'd get at a function. I do hope that they one day they elevate the food to meet the setting...now that would be extraordinary.... More

My wife and I decided to celebrate our Anniversary at this upscale restaurant (pricey). The service was excellent, appetizer and soup were delicious then came the worst prime rib we have ever eaten. We asked for medium and it came well done and was seared on the outside. It looked like it was cut from yesterdays rib and warmed on... More

We ate dinner in the late evening. It was a little chilly to sit outside, so we were inside, but had a beautiful view of the lake. Service was very attentive and the food was wonderful. We all had a variety of dishes and everyone was pleased with the meal. The steak seemed to be the best choice.

Have only eaten at Edgar's for their breakfast buffet. It has always been great! Great selection of food. Service has always been good too. It's beautiful inside too! Quite possibly my favorite place to eat breakfast!

4 of us went for Sunday Brunch. Had been there a couple of years ago and wanted to return. Was disappointed in what was on the buffet as compared to before. What was there was very good but again not the selection. If you go there is a large selection and you will leave full.

Oh my goodness! I live in the Corning area near Geneva NY and have waited years for a reason to try their renowned brunch. What a DISAPPOINTMENT! To begin with, the brunch is set up buffet style at the bottom of the stairs of the lodging guests. So as you are waiting in line to put food on your plate,... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed a night at the Belhurst and had breakfast here before checking out. I asked for an Eggs Florentine but they gave me an a poached egg without the spinach. When they brought out the spinach for me they only gave me 5 piece of spinach. Not acceptable! Not to mention we waited 40 minutes for... More

The inside of Edgar's Restaurant/Belhurst Castle reminded me more of the kitsch of Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" than anything approaching a castle, but nonetheless the outside is romantic and the food is very good. My wife ordered the duck, which came out too rare for her liking. I had the lamb chops which were perfectly cooked and excellent. They have... More

Very enjoyable! Since we were staying at the castle, it was convenient and transportation was not needed. The parking lot is convenient and just outside the castle but remember we were staying there so transportation was not needed. The service was very good, all staff that came in contact with us were well trained and extremely hospitable making it well... More
