A group of 4 couples went for breakfast today. It was terrible. We waited over 45 minutes from order of food to delivery. That doesn't include the time to took to order.... The food after that wait was BAD. My potatoes were hard. Eggs drowning in butter. It was cold. The waiter dropped the tray and dumped some food....after that... More

The restaurant is very pleasant and the service was good but management oversight is non-existent. We ordered escargot as an appetizer, which I had there before and was excellent, but this time I was a disappointed because it didn't have the great flavor I was expecting. We both ordered steak for dinner, my girlfriend asked for medium and I asked... More

I have been to Edgar's a number of times and over a number of years. It was bad the first time I went and is bad now. The bar at the Belhurst is lovely (although $15.00 plus for a salad is a bit expensive) -- but Edgar's is simply bad food at high prices. Why they don't hire an expensive... More

When we arrived we were put in a small room, where a large party of quite drunk patrons was very loud. We asked to be reseated and we were promptly placed in a much quietr and nicer area. The food was good. I had a pasta with vegetables and a cream spicy sauce, and my wife a halibut over black... More

Stopped at Belhurst for lunch while visiting some of the local wineries and breweries with friends. We have stayed at Belhurst before and enjoyed a number of wonderful meals, but the lunch buffet was disappointing. Nice, friendly service, but a mistake we won't make again.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a trip to the Finger Lakes, Belhurst Castle and Edgar's Restaurant. We arrived for dinner and were seated by the hostess. Our server, Lisa greated us promptly and warmly. Offered us menus, drinks and pleasant conversation. She really seemed to enjoy her work. The menu was what you would expect from a... More

We used to like eating breakfast here on occasion. They took away the simple breakfast buffet,Now every thing is ala carte.Too bad...We liked the omelet station and small array of sides.Until they bring it back we won't return. At least they could provide it on the weekends!

Waitress was great, knowledgeable of the menu, wine, and was attentive. Appetizers were unique and delicious, however entrees were good but not outstanding.

We knew that the menu would be rather old-fashioned. Our steak was excellent if pricey. Salads were small with too much dressing. Our side dish of escarole and beans was very oversalted, the brussels sprouts were fine. The room was comfortable and conducive to conversation. The wine list is extensive.

We loved may many things about Edgar’s. The castle was beautiful and made us feel like we were in Europe. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic. The lakeside view from our table, which we had requested, was very pretty. The menu and wine selections were awesome and reasonably priced. All of our food was perfectly prepared, nicely presented, fresh, and... More
