Best meal in the finger lakes. W have been visiting the finger lakes for a few years and finally planned ahead enough to make reservations to actually get dinner at this place. We'll worth it! Biggest problem was to make sure we had reservations. Everything we've tried in three visits has been outstanding!

On our recent wine-buying trip to the Finger Lakes our friends took us to Ports Café. They warned me that the ambiance was nonexistent, the bathroom situation crude, and most likely the place would be noisy but the food would be heavenly. They were certainly right. The food was phenomenal. The chef created food that was utterly superb. Imaginative, plentiful,... More

We just went on our first visit to the FingerLakes. The first night, we went to dinner at Ports. It was a Friday night, the place was crowded and we didn't have a reservation. They were able to seat us, however. Since it was winter, the seating was confined to the indoor space they had. It was so LOUD! Terrible... More

My husband and I have been going to the Fingerlakes for the past couple years, in March to get away. This year we invited friends to come along with us and my friend's husband is a big "trip advisor junkie" so he scoped out different places to eat. Based on the outstanding reviews, he suggested Ports Cafe. I am so... More

So I have been telling our friends about this place for awhile and finally we decided to head up there for a special dinner. My friend was celebrating her 60th birthday and we wanted to make it special for her. The best night to go to Ports is on Wednesday because they have a lovers special that is $30 per... More

I have a love/hate relation with this place. The food is truly superb, some of the best to be found in the Finger Lakes. The ONLY problem with this place is the acoustics. When it gets crowded, it gets loud and I can't even hear the conversation at my table. This may not be a problem for you if you... More

Last night we ate at Port's Cafe for the "nth" time . We love it! HOWEVER, in the many years that we have enjoyed dinners there, the bathroom situation has remained the same. Last night, perhaps because it was 14 degrees out, we said ENOUGH! The one (unisex) bathroom is unconscionably primitive and UNHEATED. It is an insult to customers,... More

Hands down this was some of the best food that I have had in a good long while. My girlfriend declared that their soup was the best soup she'd had in more than a decade. The place was loud and cramped, but worth it. The food was just fantastic.

We visited the Finger Lakes area over Valentine's Day weekend 2014. When we asked the locals where we should eat, they all responded, "the Ports Cafe" in Geneva NY. We managed to squeeze a reservation in on a Saturday. The server was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us tips on local attractions also. She left her copy of the... More

We dined at Ports February 15th. I read the reviews on Tripadvisor, and called a week ahead of time to make a reservation. The only time available was 5:30. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. We had Calamari and Shrimp ($12) for an appetizer. Husband ordered a cup of French Onion Soup and I had a side salad... More
