I have avoided the Cobblestone for many years but decided to give it another try for dinner the other night. Their prices are much higher than the $21 high side they advertise. My friend and I got lobster in a sauce with risotto. The lobster was not good at all. It didn't taste anything like lobster. The sauce was nice... More

What a NICE place! The Cobblestone's food was really good. There were 6 of us, we were out shopping, and their service was fast. What a NICE place!

Our group of 55 had dinner at the Cobblestone Restaurant. We had traveled all day - from Lincoln, NH, to Geneva, NY. Traffic was heavy so, unfortunately, it made us a half hour later than planned. The owners were very nervous about that because they had booked another large group right after us. When we arrived, though, we were being... More

Went fall foliage jaunt. Headed in wrong direction, trees still mostly green, but ended up in Finger Lakes wine country and thought we'd go back to a place where we'd dined several years ago. Turned out to be brilliant idea, much better than the leaves. The Cobblestone restaurant is a lovely stone house. It's got deep windows, high ceilings ,... More

What a great place. We were visiting and had not made a reservation but we went early. The ladies there were very friendly and put us in. You should make reservations if you know ahead. Everything we order was good. We had a lobster pasta dish and they did have gluten free pasta. We will be back.

After a lovely ride on the Canandaigua Lady, we headed east to find a place for dinner. On the right hand side of the road we noticed this charming old mansion and decided to stop in. What a delightful surprise! The French Onion soup was one of the best I've had, and my wife raved about her butternut squash soup.... More

Service was slow and the Coquilles St Jacques was the worst I and my dining companion ever tasted. Instead of the traditional dish of scallops in a light sauce surrounded by a border of mashed potatoes, what was offered was a baking dish filled with mashed potatoes with a few scallops deeply buried in the mashed potatoes covered with bread... Thank you for writing and giving us a chance to reconsider our recipe for Coquile St. Jacques. We thought we were enhancing the experience by adding more of our whipped mashed potatoes but we have considered your comments and will return to the more classic recipe. We are delighted with your high marks for our French Onion Soup and the... More

My husband and I had just dropped our son off to college and were taking the long drive home. We were looking for someplace to eat when we drove by a beautiful mansion covered in cobblestones. We turned around and went in. This restaurant was a wonderful surprise! You walk into a large beautiful mansion turned into a bar (complete... More

We ate here on a Sunday evening. The food was excellent as was the service. What made the service extraordinary was that I left my credit card-we had mentioned that we were leaving the next day-they are closed Monday. I got an Email from them telling me that they had the card and promising to mail it to us. I... More

A very small venue, the food was great. The atmosphere was ok, a larger table of 10-12 was quite loud. It was on the higher priced side but we were looking for something unique, and different. We would return for the same reason.
