We love the brauhuas! The food is so warm and comforting. The Jaeger schnitzel Is amazing. The goulash app is great, but I was too nervous to try the Alpaca and Mushroom soup. The spaetzel is good but skip the potato dumpling. Also the sAurbraten is better than the potroast imho.

the Mountain Brauhaus is one of the finest German restaurant i have been to. the atmosphere is perfect , the wine selection, the German beers on tap and in bottles saves you from flying to Germany. The wide selection of well prepared foods makes the visit worth the ride. and our server Lorraine went out of her way to make... More

best place outside of Germany to have authentic German. And the waitstaff is so pleasant. live quite a distance but make it a tradition to stop yearly when in the area. Go early-it gets busy. EVERTHING is great---wonderful beers----no room for dessert but take the strudel to go---and a pretzel for the road.

Mountain Brahaus is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Now that the weather is going to be cooling off in the Hudson Valley, I'm craving German food. I've been going to this restaurant for 15+ years, and each time I'm reminded me why I keep coming back - because they serve delicious German food. The reuben strudel is addictive.... More

Our favorite German restaurant, great German menu. Often also offers exotic specials (llama, ostrich, ...) that are worth a try. Nice selection of beers to slake your thirst after a day of hiking.

Our Friday night to pick a place to eat with our friends. We were camping in Accord, and our friends would be coming down from 21B off the Thruway, so we wanted something half way in between. Gardnier, you say?? What's there? The Mountain Brauhaus!! We couldn't have picked better. This is one of the best German restaurants around. The... More

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years. It is a tradition for us to walk to Lake Awasting from Lake Minnewaska, take a swim, and then walk back "thinking about the bratwurst" that we will have here. It tastes so good. Try it with a side of potato salad and a glass of beer and you will see... More

After a very active day of hiking and biking in the area, the Brauhaus was recommended to my girl and me by a local. Others that we spoke to confirmed the recommendation. A traditional Bavarian restaurant in such close proximity to a few 'crunchier' options seemed a bit incongruous, but we both enjoy Bavarian grub, so we went for it.... More

Great atmosphere, people, drinks, food. Try a local beer or cocktail made with local spirits, then go for one of the house made pretzels or sausages. Great find. Cant wait to get back.
