Our favorite German restaurant, great German menu. Often also offers exotic specials (llama, ostrich, ...) that are worth a try. Nice selection of beers to slake your thirst after a day of hiking.

Our Friday night to pick a place to eat with our friends. We were camping in Accord, and our friends would be coming down from 21B off the Thruway, so we wanted something half way in between. Gardnier, you say?? What's there? The Mountain Brauhaus!! We couldn't have picked better. This is one of the best German restaurants around. The... More

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years. It is a tradition for us to walk to Lake Awasting from Lake Minnewaska, take a swim, and then walk back "thinking about the bratwurst" that we will have here. It tastes so good. Try it with a side of potato salad and a glass of beer and you will see... More

After a very active day of hiking and biking in the area, the Brauhaus was recommended to my girl and me by a local. Others that we spoke to confirmed the recommendation. A traditional Bavarian restaurant in such close proximity to a few 'crunchier' options seemed a bit incongruous, but we both enjoy Bavarian grub, so we went for it.... More

Great atmosphere, people, drinks, food. Try a local beer or cocktail made with local spirits, then go for one of the house made pretzels or sausages. Great find. Cant wait to get back.

On a recent stay at Minnewaska Lodge, my group decided to try the food at Mountain Brauhaus which is quite nearby to the Lodge. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and beer selections! Portions were huge and service by our waitress Sheila was fantastic. There was a mix of tourists and locals and no feeling of being rushed despite a large... More

If you have 1/2 an hour and $3.50, stop here to eat after yoyr adventure in the Gunks or New Paltz. Hot, sweet, fresh, light Bavarian Pretzel with two tasty mustards. You will never crave a different pretzel again. Wash it down with a delightful Heffewiser beer. By the way, everything else on the menu is absolutely delicious.

It is in the middle of Nowhere,,, and it was packed. Could not believe it. We went on a Wed. night and had to wait 15mins for a table. It was worth the wait, Food was fantastic and plenty of it. Should definitely be featured on Television Show "You Gotta Eat Here"

We spend our summers in a little town nearby. I've heard of this place & this was the first time we tried it. I called for reservation same day & they were already booked. So I put our name on a waiting list for a table in about an hour. So....if you don't have reservation, use their call ahead to... More
