The interior is 1955, pine panelling and classic 50's furniture, we sat near a photo of Kingston cheerleaders from the 50's. They were hot. I ordered brockwurst and a knockwurst with sauerkraut, potato salad and two mustards, it was $17. The wife's sauerbraten was a bit too sour, the kids burger was excellent, I ate half of it. Plenty of... More

Authentic and southern Germany food with some American dishes mixed in. Wonderful beer, good wine list, attentive service. Varied and creative menu. Great bar while you wait for a table. The food here is some of the best - consistently good over 20 years that I have been dining there. By far the best schnitzel I have had outside of... More

Although I have never been to Germany, and I don't have any German ancestry, I do know good food when I eat it. This restaurant is at the foot of the Gunk' mountain range. It is about a 45 minute ride from Westchester County in NY but worth the drive from anyplace. We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch,... More

Service is friendly and efficient. Food is so, so delicious. As a non-meat eater I am frequently looking for restaurants that would accommodate me and my meat loving spouse. Mountain Brauhaus fits the bill. Large selection of tap beers, authentic German dishes and not so authentic German dishes were offered. I loved the veggie chili and the sweet and sour... More

Nice people, superb food, cozy ambiance, great drinks. Love this place! Don't miss the sauerbraten if you are a meat eater.

This restaurant has huge portions. The pretzel appetizer is delicious and so is their cheesecake. For a German restaurant I was disappointed in their German potato salad but honestly that was my only complaint. Delicious food. Definitely give it a try! Split an entrée even and save room for the Cheesecake. You won't be disappointed.

This is always one of my favorite places to eat. It is nearly an hour from my house but still worth the trip every time. Great food and beers on tap!

I can call myself a foody. I like different kinds of food as long as it tastes and looks good. When it comes to a restaurant review, my conclusion is mainly based on quality of food. The taste and quality of food at this restaurant is excellent. One of the best places I have ever dined in. Service is great... More

I had heard nice things about this restaurant, so I called them about a month prior to a family gathering to ask if they could accommodate a large party. They told me they absolutely could - it would be no problem and they asked that I call them back when we got closer to the date to just confirm that... More
