The 2nd best restaurant in the world!

While that might be an exaggeration the Brauhaus is amazing. The Brats, Schnitzel and pretzels are superb and they are not even the best on the menu. Very friendly owners and staff. Can't wait to go back.

We love this restaurant, and eat here every time we are in town. Their food ranges from traditional sausage and sauerkraut to home made veggie burgers. We ate at the bar this time, and spoke with the owner, the servers, locals from the area, as well as visitors like ourselves. In addition to a great meal, it felt like hanging... More

We've been coming here after skiing for 30 years, and it's a delight to see how Mountain Brauhaus has changed with the times. The Spaetzle Primavera entree is a good example, as are the homemade soups. Plenty of contemporary offerings, along with lots of rabbit and goat (not for me!), yet you can rely on the old German favorites. The... More

After passing the Brauhaus many times we were always put off by the wait. We decided to try it mid-week and only waited 20 minutes and I am so glad we did. Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Love this place! The sauerbraten and Reuben strudel are both delicious. Have to get there early or there is a very long wait usually. They do take reservations for 6 or more people. Great beer selection.

This should definitely be a restaurant to go to! Food is GREAT, especially the Reuben Strudel! We knew the portions were large (and our refrig. had no room for leftovers) so for 7 people we shared 2 appetizers, 4 main dishes and each of us had a salad and a drink. It was perfect! We had the veal schnitzel, sauerbraten,... More

What a great trip! Our timing was perfect; we got seated quickly. Be prepared to wait if you get there after 6:00 pm but then you can wait drinking a beer and enjoying their delicious pretzel. The ambiance is very nice, friendly and very helpful staff. The appetizers and the beer are a meal in itself. The hot pretzel with... More

This place is the real deal. It you love German food and great beers there is no better place in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Make it a day, take a hike at Minnewaska State Park then stop for some cold beers and great food. Makes for a memorable day!

Stopped for an early dinner after a full day of sightseeing. We were so happy our innkeeper suggested this charming and delicious restaurant. Highly recommend!

The food was really good but had an hour wait to sit and another hour to eat. Since the food was so good it was worth the wait.
