Seafood for Tourist

Upon arriving the hostess greeted us with her bare belly hanging over her jeans. The prices seemed quite a bit higher since we last visited years ago. The salad was so chopped I had problems getting it on my fork. The lobster bisque had lobster meat in it but also had a strange taste. The linguini... read more

This is more like a diner masquerading as a seafood restaurant. I had the salmon -- I hate to say this, but I sense it was frozen, not fresh fish. Seasonings on the fish were fine. The corn on the cob was waterlogged -- must've been sitting in a pot for 3 days. Cole slaw is garden variety mass produced... More

Can't wait to go back. Had the shrimp cocktail (3), calamari (1), crab cake (1), fish and chips and lobster roll. Can't believe how good and fresh everything was!! The lobster roll is the stuff of dreams! Good job Crab Shack!

Yes, other reviewers are correct about some things. The restaurant itself is small, service is ok, food is ok. But the King crab legs are delicious!!

The place is all remodeled after super storm sandy and is done very well with seating and rest room accommodations. The menus was good and so was the pricing, but the portions were small And the food was ok. The servers were good humored, attentive polite and efficient. There was more than ample parking.

A couple of us took a friend out for a birthday lunch and decided on the Nautical Mile in Freeport. Although we hadn't been back since before the hurricane, we remembered a decent meal at the Crab Shack. We went on a Friday afternoon, after 1, and there were only a couple of other tables with diners at them. Even... More
