This is more like a diner masquerading as a seafood restaurant. I had the salmon -- I hate to say this, but I sense it was frozen, not fresh fish. Seasonings on the fish were fine. The corn on the cob was waterlogged -- must've been sitting in a pot for 3 days. Cole slaw is garden variety mass... read more

Can't wait to go back. Had the shrimp cocktail (3), calamari (1), crab cake (1), fish and chips and lobster roll. Can't believe how good and fresh everything was!! The lobster roll is the stuff of dreams! Good job Crab Shack!

Yes, other reviewers are correct about some things. The restaurant itself is small, service is ok, food is ok. But the King crab legs are delicious!!

The place is all remodeled after super storm sandy and is done very well with seating and rest room accommodations. The menus was good and so was the pricing, but the portions were small And the food was ok. The servers were good humored, attentive polite and efficient. There was more than ample parking.

A couple of us took a friend out for a birthday lunch and decided on the Nautical Mile in Freeport. Although we hadn't been back since before the hurricane, we remembered a decent meal at the Crab Shack. We went on a Friday afternoon, after 1, and there were only a couple of other tables with diners at them. Even... More

Yesterday, my friend and I spent the day at Nautical Mile and decided to try the crabshack for lunch. The bar was empty so we sat there verses getting a table. We literally sat there for 15 minutes and didn't even get offered water or a drink. We were completely ignored for the first 10 minutes and then one of... More

The Crabshack has been around for many years - so in my opinion that means it's got something to offer. Its not fine dining but, the food is good, and not overly expensive for the Nautical Mile. The place was re done after Hurr. Sandy, which was a good thing - it WAS pretty outdated. For a quick bite that... More
