Small and charming........

Dome49 I wanted to love the minute I walked it.....and the service was lovely and not overbearing. But my dinner....chicken piccata was very ordinary.....I am sorry to say. If we went there more often, I might discover the really yummy stuff on the menu. My husband realy enjoyed his dinner only... read more

Went here for a charity event and had the open faced burger on greens! It was delicious! The burger was as gourmet as it gets in this area and the presentation was beautiful. The Chef and his Manager/wife are an amazing team who make everyone feel welcome. A great visit for a romantic night out or dinner with the family.

Has a wonderful menu. Rich has some awesome specials on Thursday and Friday evenings. Twice a month he has live jazz. Overall great food and atmosphere.

I actually like what the owner has done with this space Saw that someone said it felt like a food court - I don't agree, I felt very comfortable. The only oddball spot is the table nearest the door. Have eaten here a couple of times. My SO likes their regular prime rib special. I had something once that didn't... More

On the first Sunday of each month they serve an All you Can Eat breakfast buffet for $11.00. Includes coffee, fruit, omelets to order, bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits, homefries, pancakes and corn fritters. Juices are $1.00 extra and you can also have a Mimosa for an extra charge. Waitstaff and chef are friendly, and service was excellent. Serving 9:30... More

Went back to one of my favorites, the DOME 49 in Fort Plain. My son-in-law and I both had the Pork Osso Buco and it was great. My daughter loved the Chicken Riggies, and my wife had the Chicken Marsala. My granddaughter had the Spaghetti and Meatballs. All were delighted. I tasted the riggies and the marsala, and even the... Great people making great food. We were biking by on the Eire Canal trail and happened upon this gem. As NYC residents we were happy to find home away from home. Cannoli was worth the trek!

Although this place is off the beaten path, ie, the freeway, it is worth the bit of extra effort to find. The irregular building shape grabs you first, but the food & service are the main attractions, as they should be. The day I visited there was a rain storm & regular staff was not able to get in. Someone... More

Chef Owner Rich Brown works hard to make sure each diner has a great experience. I have had several meals there, most recently my birthday surprise party. The food is always served freshly prepared, hot and with inviting presentation. The restaurant is small. So reservations are a good idea.
