Some of them dont even understand english, they made a mistake with my order, plus they forgot about us.. bad bad service.. it's not hard at all saying thank you and please. They just put your food on the table and that's it.. they dont care about the customer , they only care about how much you are going to... More

I've been coming here for years. Are you going to get a Michelin star experience? No, but that's not why you come here. You come here for amazing food on the cheap and of course, soup dumplings. There's lots of reviews here, and please, feel free to read them all. I'll try to add something new to the mix. The... More

Due to a flight cancellation, we were stranded in NYC, so we ended up at Marco LaGuardia Hotel --- and they recommended Joe's Shanghai (just a 2 block walk from the hotel). . The Best Orange Beef we've ever had, and the fried Pork Dumplings were fabulous. If we were hungrier we would definitely have ordered more food, but that's... More

Amazing dumplings (pork)...be sure to poke the dumplings with your chop stix otherwise the soup inside is like lava! A friend gave me the same tip and I'm glad I listened. The only take cash ...no credit cards so keep that in mind Food is good, fresh ...service was attentive yet a little cold...it could have been because we arrived... More

Love going to this restaurant. The food is great. Everything I've had here was delisious. The service needs a lot of work, but for the food, eh, it's their tip. Start with the pork dumplings but I hear get the pork/shrimp dumplings. I'm looking forward to trying them next time and the last time I went to this restaurant, I... More

We live close to Flushing and love good Chinese food..... Our research on Trip advisor led us to Joe,s Shanghai..... They are known for dumplings and the ones made with crab were excellent! Remember...chopsticks are on every table....if you need a fork....ask! We ordered soup ...slurp! Excellent.. We also had sesame chicken and it did not disappoint! We can,t wait... More

Just were in NYC and went into Chinatown. Must eat here. Wonderful. Very busy so you will get a number and be seated with others since this is the place to eat. Dumplings are wonderful. Dishes are huge so get several things to share. Loved it!!

After having Chinese food in Hawaii, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, I was unsure what to expect, but Joe Shanghai was a pleasant surprise. Crab dumplings were very good as was most all of the dishes our group ordered. Got there at 6:30 on a Tuesday and they were able to seat party of 7 with no problem.... More

Joe's is the best, everyone knows it and that's why it always soooo busy. Nothing fancy, but great steam little juicy buns. Get the crab version.

Longtime diner at Joe's in Flushing. On the way out, saw a "C" from the last restaurant inspection. That is unacceptable. We love the food, but the bathroom has become disgusting, the place is dirty, and there appears to be no attention to cleanliness. The food is still great, but after checking the health department website, we will not return... More
