I am reviewing the first Buddha Bodai vegetarian restaurant in China town, NYC. The address is 5 Mott street. Ny, 100013. Tel 2125668388 This restaurant opened nearly 10 years ago. It also calls itself a Kosher Chinese Cuisine. It serves dim sum as well as rice and noodle dishes. The dim sun is found in all the normal fare in... More

Buddha Bodai was definitely one of the best restaurants that we've eaten at! As a vegetarian, it was very nice to know that there was nothing I had to avoid. The sesame "chicken" was delicious, as were the dumplings and corn/spinach soup. The waiter even knew Hebrew!!! I would definitely recommend this hidden gem to vegetarians and non-vegetarians! I'm positive... More

Food was great! A lil bit more expensive than happy buddha.... But the waiter came to our table after half an hour we came in. I had to get up and go get him and he gave me a nasty attitude. Dont know if i will ever go back.

This is a great place for amazing vegetarian food. Whether you are a vegetarian or not, you will enjoy the food. I took 13 people for lunch, 4 were meat eaters, the rest ranged from completely veg to those who eat fish. Everyone was satisfied, everyone enjoyed everything from the diverse assortment of dim sum to the sumptuous entrees. We... More

My family and I recently had dinner at the reopened location and were delighted. The food was delicious! I am vegetarian but most of my family is not and they were very pleased at the quality and taste of all of their entrees. The portobello mushroom dish with Chinese vegetables was my favorite. The service was quick and we had... More

This is a review of the Chinatown location at 5 Mott Street. I'm a vegetarian so it is so much fun to go to a restaurant like Buddha Bodai and order away without worry. The menu is huge, In addition to the usual suspects like sesame "chicken" there are more unusual things like "jelly fish" appetizer (actually really really good)... More

I was delighed when Buddha Bodai recently reopened as New Bodai in a new location--close to 58th Avenue on Main Street in Flushing. I had a yen for my favorite, the orange "chicken" with brown rice and broccoli, and eagerly awaited the return of this restaurant after being closed by the DOH several months ago. I went during lunch and... More
