Delicious homemade ice cream and whipped cream topping in a period ice cream parlor....what could be better? This is a classic soda shop...I'm glad it's still here and that it has kept most of its charm. Enjoy the space, savor the allure of a glimpse into yesteryear and the taste of rich, homemade ice cream. You will not find a... More

If you're of a certain age you may recall going to places like Eddie's Sweet Shop. This sort of shop is truly an endangered species in NYC today. For one thing, Eddie's has been chugging along practically unchanged for 100 years. In a time when folks seem to be looking for what's "new" and "special" and "different", Eddie's is a... More

Yum. Pretty simple a hundred year old sweet shop on Metropolitan Ave in Forrest Hills. All the nostalgia and history + homemade Ice cream at a fair price. A local favorite. Why would anyone go to Baskin Robbins when you have this gem in the neighborhood?

I love this place! It's like walking into an ice cream parlor from the 1950's. It's very nostalgic. Whether you go there on a date or with the family, you should just go there! It's a little pricey but definitely worth the trip. Also, their ice cream sodas are outrageous.

Yes, it's nice for people to spend time reminiscing the "good 'ole days" while slurping a milk shake or scooping ice cream from a sundae. Eddie's Sweet Shop gives you a dose of the golden years; when politicians were noble, our neighbors were decent, and episodes of the Golden Girls dominated the airwaves. However, be prepared to shell out quite... More

This place is such a cute gem with a friendly staff. When it gets too crowded on busy warm weekends, I love to stop by and pick up some cherry vanilla and just relax at home with the whole quart. When it's not too busy, it's a perfect local date night place.

ya gtta love Eddie's- my wife swears by it. It's like stepping into Archie and Veronica comics, but in Forest Hills! Sweet indeed-every which way, including the great young people that run the show.

When I was younger, their was Woolworth in flushing where you could sit and order at a counter and various candy stores around. As I grew up, they all disappeared. When I was 10 and into my teens near Bayside in flushing I could walk down to the "candy store" and sit at a fixed pole chair at a counter... More

I came here as a kid in the neighborhood. Later stopped in as an adult. Took our neices and nephews to this place. NOTHING compares to sitting at the fountain counter or in a both and getting some spectacular rum raison or a sundae dripping with fudge! Give yourself a treat!
