Their Malaysian food is very authentic. This is the best malaysian food i have had. The beef Rendang is my favorite. People are very friendly.

Pinang still serves up tasty Malaysian fare, but they've been cutting back on portion size and ingredients. Example: my seafood soup used to contain four shrimp, then three, now two. Other dishes seem to be about 25% less, Unless firmly requested, the soft drinks will arrive with more ice than liquid. When confronted, the owners denied what was so plainly... More

I often stop by Pinang for a quick lunch because I live in the neighborhood. The food is reliably tasty (and healthy) and the portions are adequate. Pinang seems to have successfully adapted the funkier/more pungent dishes to the picky American palate. My menu favorites - the sizzling tofu entree, the roti canai appetizer, the seafood soup, the Malasian bubble... More

My family is Malaysian. So, we are always glad to go out for Malaysian food. We've been to Pinang many times as it is in the neighborhood and the food is pretty good. But it gets harder and harder to go. The service is so poor from start to finish. It's difficult to get seated even when the place is... More

There were ten of us who have our half-year get-togethers here. We get a round table in the back to enjoy the food and just talk. Every appetizer (Satay Bean Curd was great!), and each individual dish we got was excellent. Afterwards, everyone was just raving about the service and how delicious each dish was. It's in a nice part... More

Beyond disappointed!! There should be no excuse of serving spoiled foods. One of our dishes we ordered tasted really spoiled and made complaint to the owner. No apologies whatsoever! Never ever going back again!! Spoiled foods really spoiled the evening!!! Not sure how my stomach would react to the foods we ate……!!! If you don't want to get food poison,... More

A no non-sense Malaysian restaurant, which tells you that it is authentic from the moment you step into this small cozy place. Good Roti Canai and Murtaba. Have had better, though! Was not hungry enough to try some of the other choices.

One of the best Asian's in our neighborhood. Lunch special is a great bargain, but the dinner is well worth the money too. Love the Roti Chanai too. Friendly and attentive service.
