Mulan restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Queens Crossing at Main Street and 39th Avenue in downtown Flushing. The upscale modern Asian restaurant is elegantly decorated to fit the surrounding atmosphere. Mulan features modern Asian decor, a square waterfall, elevated seating and leathered booths, all of which are complimented by the seductive quality of the traditional oriental motifs throughout the restaurant. See-through curtains are hung over the windows, which with the addition of warm light create a romantic and pleasant dining experience. Modern but food seems 'off'

We had a corner table. Do not sit in the right corner from where you enter. The temperature is off. The rest of the restaurant seems ventilated but right in that corner near the window, it's hot. The thermostat is right there so I know the ac is on but you will feel 'hot'! If you are going to pay... read more

It looks all nice and fancy, but is it worth it for all the eye candy.. And then shoving food that doesn't taste that great.. Into your mouth?? Are you senses feeling confused? Yea I barely ate my food. I rarely do that....

I was invited to dinner here last night and was surprised how much better it was than previously. I had the fixed price meal ($35) that included a glass of wine, a seafood cake and soup as appetizers, steak with veggies, and a small cheesecake confection. While I found the soup too spicey, the rest of the meal was excellent.... More

I had a dinner in one of the Mulan's private rooms a few days ago. The moment I walk in,the room is filled with kitchen ventilation odor, I sit in the whole time not to embarrass the host, I end up paid $13 for my dry cleaning bill. The service is no better than any Chinatown counterpart, the food is... More

Myself and my family sometimes with friends go to Mulan to enjoy their food and ambience. After many ok meals it was one Sat night. One of the dish was Mulan aged steak. We placed high hope on it since it was very good last time. However, instead of med rare it came well done. The waiter said you should... More

I really wanted to have good things to say about this place but unfortunately that is not the case. I held my wedding at Mulan and spoke to the Manager Carl. He seemed very friendly at the time and the placed look classy and modern. So during my wedding, the place was set and it looked lovely. We had bought... More

I requested a private room with clear instructions, numerous calls to follow up to make sure communication clear on both sides. We order ten different dishes, most are modernized Chinese, table service is average, flavours and techniques are above average. The main negative point is the noise from the main dining area, door close in on our room but we... More

Mulan is on the 2nd floor of a buidling / mall reached by elevator. A bit more formal than I was expecting - more like somewhere for New Year's Eve, a wedding celebration, place to take your parents. Booths were well done and provided privacy. Servers spoke good English, very helpful. Food was good.

We love Mulans. Wonderful atmosphere and the food is good. Tey the duck...yummy. They need to work on the bartending services. Very slow especially when they are catering an event. Only 1 bartendar? Really!

This place looks much better than what it is. I've been a few times over the past several months and the food has been consistently average and basically overpriced for what it is. The decor and finishes are attractive, but aren't enough to make this worthwhile for another visit.
