Good Guacamole and very Nice people

Was surprised this type of restaurant was tucked away in Fishkill, but was very happy with the quality of service and the food The atmosphere was something to say here! They had a mariachi band and the drinks were flowing and the food was fantastic. Families would get the most out of this... read more

We used to love the Maya Cafe. The food was really good, and reflected the different regions of Mexico. But lately, they have cut back on the quality of the food. The vegetables seem to be precut and frozen, and even the rice is not as good. Lots of onions now in the guacamole, and in general, a more pedestrian... More

I don't know why I haven't reviewed this before.Perhaps because it already has so many accolades. This review is a tribute, not only to the food which is always superb and the best Mexican to be had anywhere in the area, but to the owner and staff. My companion for this restaurant is an elderly friend who has a great deal of... More

We had dinner here and loved it. It has a very authentic feel to it - the food was great (HUGE portions), the service was attentive & the price was just right.

Mexican food and menu, for sure; lively crowd, and reasonably good service. Admittedly, I have a negative bias to establishments that use different staff to deliver food to the table from the server -- because its hard to get them back to the table if anything needs to be fixed after the food is served; and also because they don't... First in all fairness the good: the Carnitas in Verde is real tomatillo sauce and tasty pork. The chicken in banana leaves does taste like something I've eaten in Zmecico city. The wait staff was very nice! The bad: the top shelf margaritas are $45 a pitcher. There were only FOUR ice filled drinks that were NOT that good. The... More

My husband and I had fajitas and enjoyed them. The restaurant was very dimly lit, but proved to be a casual and friendly atmosphere. The place is small, so when it was busy, it was fairly loud and difficult to hear at times. I recommend it for a casual meal with friends. One of the better dining options we tried... More

Great food! I had a chicken enchilada and the chicken inside was delicious! Marinated! We went for lunch after a local recommended it to us. Lots of locals! couples and families with kids. We would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

Best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to north of the Mason Dixon line. I went there three times in three days while passing through the area, and fully intend to travel back just for this food! Delicious food. Strong margaritas. Live mariachi band. Friendly staff & patrons. Involved owner making sure everything is just right, he even gave us... More

This is one of our favorite places to eat. Always very busy but the service moves quickly. The Shrimp Tacos and Carne Asada are very popular. There are many menu choices and the children love the atmosphere. We have attended many family and friend events. You can also enjoy the table to table music and special Birthday attention. Nicely decorated... More
