I gave this place a 3 because I absolutely love the food. However, last Sunday when I went in to pick up the pizzas, the man making the pizzas was very rude to me. I work in customer service and know how one should treat their customer and this guy was just plain rude! He needs to learn some manners... More

We have been to the Tomato Cafe many times and it is never disappointing. The specials are creative and varied and they always cook to order. The staff is terrific and you cannot beat the Thursday pizza special. Problem is everyone else has discovered Fishkill's best kept pizza value so its now quite crowded on Thursday evenings! Never been disappointed... More

Fishkill is an old Hudson River village with a pretty main street. The Tomato Cafe is on the east end of main street near a beautiful old church (1716) with a fascinating graveyard. The cafe is not big and it's pretty plain, but, very cheerful and the staff is terrific. The food is good and not expensive (this isn't NYC!).... More

Average pizza place. The bisque soup was good. The house salad was average. The margarita pizza was all crust. Service was good considering the waitress was handling the whole resturaunt by herself.

I LOVE EGGPLANT! The Tomato Café offered seasonal, local ingredients in their menu. Lucky for me Eggplant is in season and the chef cooked it to perfection. I enjoyed the delicious cream of eggplant soup. The flavor of cumin and nutmeg in the background really made this dish superb and did not overwhelm the flavor of the eggplant. For my... More

The lunch / brunch menu is varied and creative, including a "create your own frittata" option. We ate outside, probably the last time this season. I had the best nicoise salad ever. Even though it was very busy, the service was attentive, and the meal was served promptly.

This is a local favorite... On a nice day, sit outside and take in the sites and sounds of Fishkill... Okay, it's kind of a quiet town, but the Tomato Café is a great little sit down place with tasty food and a wide variety of selections. The daily specials always surprise and put a twist on more traditional menu... More

Love the selection of food here and never leave disappointed. Just feel like the seating needs some updating.
