My wife and I live in NYC and travel extensively, we have eaten in many well rated restaurants .We enjoyed one of the finest meals we have ever eaten. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, we shared the pasta special as an appetizers and I had the fish special while my wife had the fluke. Both main dishes were wonderful,... More

My classmate and I headed up to Fishkill from DC for our 40th high school reunion and when I googled fine dining in Fishkill Il Barilotto came up. After a grueling eight hour ride we were very happy to be seated at the restaurant. Cocktails and a fresh basket of bread arrived with a ricotta spread and you knew that... More

We had one of the best dinners ever at Il Barilotto earlier this week! Great food, great service and a wonderful, warm atmosphere. We started the meal sharing a salad of baby arugula, sliced strawberries, candied walnuts, and goat cheese which was very good! Our server skillfully divided the salad at the table, making for a very nice presentation. For... More

This is the sister restaurant of Aroma Osteria. Delicious food with a different menu from Aromas. Sure to please anyone as the food and service is excellent. Italian food at its best. If your looking for chicken parm or spaghetti and meat balls this is not for you. If your looking for fine Italian specialties, then visit and Boun appetite!

Il Barilotto is my favorite restaurant. Bar none. The food always is delicious, the service great, very nice wine list. I just noticed that it's ranked #1 on Tripadvisor. That doesn't surprise me.

Have never gone out of town and gone to the same restaurant two nights in a row. However we did at II Barilotto. Not sure where to start other than to say there was nothing about this restaurant that we did not love. That is saying a lot since my wife and I are very hard to please when it... More

We have been going here for years. It is the best restaurant in the mid hudson valley. Service is always exceptional and Scott, the mater dei is a gracious host. The food is exceptional with a varied menu. The salmon is always outstanding.

After a day up the Hudson river we ended up in Fishkill. Not sure where the name came from (yet) but it was time for dinner. This place is downtown and we decided to go with thew Prosecco to celebrate our 'day along the river' and each had a wonderful pasta dish. Both dishes were excellent, the waitstaff was very... More

Dinner at the Barilotto shows that Trip Advisor reviews really work. Never been to Fishkill before, but there's reason the Barilotto is rated best in town. Everything was wonderful from the friendly greeting, the great list of excellent, well-priced Italian wines, the choice of classic and regional Italian dishes (I had the hard-to-find pappardelle with rabbit ragout--usually you'd have to...
