Everything here is good from the Miso soup that comes with all entrees to the spicy Pork Bulgogi to the Bibimbap. Those of us who are lucky enough to live in the Hudson Valley have so many good food choices, but we eat here once a week. It's really that good. The service is also very friendly.

Dinners are excellent, but for a nice mid day respite - stop in for lunch. This restaurant is consistently outstanding - the Japanese selections and sushi are standard and prepared with great care - the nice surprises are the exceptional Korean choices. The sake offerings enhance the meals - definitely worth a visit.

I have never written a review for a restaurant before. Toro was so bad I felt compelled to write this time. We ordered bulgogi and chap che. The bulgogi looked liked dog food, and I'm not exaggerating. It was grey in color and swimming in a thin overly sweet liquid. And as far as how it tasted? Lets say I... More

Quick seating. Very slow service due to being understaffed. (How about about 1 1/2 hour before being served the main dish, an hour before the appetizer, 10 minutes before you get the drinks) Notified an hour to an hour and a half later that the food you ordered is not available and you have to find a substitute. Overpriced. (I've... More

Toro was advertised as a sushi restaurant, amongst other things. I didn't have any of the Korean dishes, but found the Japanese food sub-par at best. The sushi rolls all had spicy tuna in them, and the roll I chose was soaked in tempura flakes and what looked like thousand island dressing. The udon noodles had been nuked beyond recognition.... Our first visit to the newly opened Toro restaurant was New Year's Eve 2007. While located in a small strip mall the interior (previously a sushi restaurant) is nicely decorated with a spacious sushi bar, booths as well as small private alcoves with hibachi tables. The menu offers Korean specialties such as BBQ and noodle dishes. Japan is represented by... More
