Disappointed

This restaurant used to be great! However, the last time I went, I was disappointed in the food. Also disappointed in the white wine selection. Granted, this is a local restaurant and would naturally cater to the local customers. The service was great, the prices have increased.

We met friends here and had a wonderful experience. Located in the heart of town, this local favorite is home to a wide selection of beers and wines. While perusing the menu I noticed a garbage plate being brought to a nearby table and ordered one for myself. The home made hot sauce is right on the mark, savory and... More

Other than TK's Pizza, the Village Inn has the best wings around. Ask for their special wing concoction, created by the cook. It's not on the menu but it should be. It is a combo of a few flavors, not sure exactly but they are great. Don't have to ask for crispy because they always come out perfect. Burgers are... More

This friendly restaurant, located in the charming village of Fairport, is frequented by lots of regulars. Many of the patrons & staff obviously know each other. The wait staff is friendly & professional. The food is good, but not gourmet or trendy. Prices are fair & portions are generous. This reminds me of restaurants we visited in the 1970's. We... More

Two of us went there on a Friday evening to try their fish fry. Place had a certain amount of charm to it. It was a noisy bar/restaurant, but, on a Friday, that's what one would expect. It was about a 15 minute wait to be seated. Restaurant was a little cramped, but still comfortable. Server was excellent, from start... More

As I was driving by the Fairport Village Inn I noticed a sign saying that Prime Rib was being featured that evening. I am very fond of Prime Rib, so turned around and parked. I was seated shortly and anticipated an enjoyable meal. I always prefer medium rare beef and ordered that with a baked potato. While I can enjoy... More

We ate at the bar and watched a Red Sox game. The bartender was perfect- attentive and friendly. Dinner was amazing and by the time we made it to dessert, it was like we were among old friends. Great place. We will visit again!

We have been to FVI many times over mostly enjoying their wings and soups at the bar. recently we were on a search for a good fish fry. Unfortunately we did not hit the mark here. The fish was awful, very bland and the batter was even worse. So very disappointed indeed. AS many have said, the dining area is... More

Ate at the Fairport village inn ordering the Prime-Rib. Very nice cut not very fatty at all. I was very impressed with the service. It was a Thursday around 5pm. Went back the following week ordered the same meal. I can give the prime rib dinner a thumbs up. Maybe I will order something different next time

Have eaten there twice before, seems to be going down hill. Seems the servings are a little stingy. The steak I had was just ok. Went there for a late dinner, lunch seems the best time to go, if you do go. A few of the bar patrons were being loud, made it hard to have a conversation
